Refugee: The Great Escape Walkthrough

Refugee: The Great Escape

Refugee - The Great Escape is another dark and scary point and click escape games. Refugee is a quite typical "escape the room" game. But in this case your objective is escaping from not the one room, but the whole planet. The main character is a fugitive from the greatest prison in this universe. Unfornately while escaping his spaceship has crashed onto the forbidden by a humanity planet. He woked up in a rusty cold cell, and from this point his only objective was escaping from this place. Good luck and have fun!

Warning: This game has some scary and bloody themes, and it is not suitable for children!

found lock pick under pillow and picked the lock

The lock wires are driving me nuts

Me too, RSA :(

Philomena

Have you got to the door with the wires yet?
I am hopelessly stuck

Okay,
Tried the obvious of black / white etc
Tried putting them in in the opposite direction
Am now just randomly pushing wires around

can't figure out the wires

Stuck at wires too - one missing ?

haven't found any clues for this, either

I'm about ready to stick my fingers in them in desperation!

Went back and checked every pixel but can't find a wire for the missing slot or a clue anywhere.

Checking the map on the wall for hex colour codes.

But it's not helping! >:|

equestrium manyponies is an odd loooking coordinate

coloured books in cell dont help either

I like the look of Dunnolol :D

I think I have tried every possible combination with no success.

Where's GURUONE?????

randomly connecting them and door opened

Right here!!! ZING...... :)

Just guessed the wires

Swapped black/white, red/blue, cyan/yellow

Didn't use slot 1?

Dunno, think that was it

No hacking......... yet

do you happen to recall the order?

Solution: X, Light Blue, Black, Yellow, Red, Blue, White.

:) found the walkthrough :)

but I cant remember order - first one empty, then cyan and black - the others not sure about

that order didn't work for me, G-man, but it's a start

POP! got it! TY RSA Momma Cyndi

Ditto - thanks!

Now we have to figure out what to type into the computer without a clue...

Ahhhh, there's a w/thru.... No further hacking needed.... I'll take the nite off :P hehe

Many years since I had to use DOS :)

"help" gives a list of possibilities,
Now just going through each to find the right combo

Found lots of stuff but we need to "pronounce" something?

There is a locator under the pillow?

Lock pick under the pillow.

Oh it says 'lockpicker' not 'locater' - hated green screen even back then

LOL
The password is 'password' :)

It is hard to read. I'm stuck in an elevator shaft.

I've typed in HELP and hit enter but nothing happens...

Philomena,
Did you type "help" on the green screen?
Try lower case - DOS was case sensitive

Type in "help" (lowercase). It will give you a list of commands. Type "open anagram.tex" and unscramble the letters to get the password for the elevator doors.

there is a stone in the elevator (?)
the cursor changes orange and you can pick it up

open the file anagram.tex to get the password which happens to be password. lol.

now I have to find coordinates and solve a color puzzle. I thought I was out.

And then my computer froze and I had to start over

Aw man... I had the rock but couldn't see it in inventory!

There is a hotspot on the top of the spaceship which has a circuit puzzle.

hi, help please

how to oprn lock?? used lockpick and still need a key???

To open the lock try:
N,E,W,S,E,N,W,N

Can anyone read the note from inside the space ship?
I think it is the colour code for the buttons but its too small to read

TY RSA, but how do you know?

POP
the third colour was blue

hi - the 'password' doesn't do anything for me. i listed the files and opened anagram.tex, then put in the password. any tips?

trial and error Sue.
When you get it right it says 'okay'
That is why I still had it written down

Josie
put 'password' into the keypad at the elevator.

WHAT COORDINATES ???

I've tried at least 10 already.

WackyJacky is rite.... Pretty "random" here

Colour code is on paper, hover for bigger letters

Set co-ords for Earth, I guess. Press big red button

Meh, not great

I got the color code figured out. I think it was g,r,b,g,r,r,g

resorted to looking at the walkthrough :(
It was the Milky Way - of course !
Doh, so obvious and probably the only one I hadn't tried yet

thanks, RSA Mama Cyndi!

hm stuck again,

entered color code, somehow used shovel somewhere and entered milky way
now what?
where is that hotspot on top of spaceship?
cant findother view?

guess i used shovel to "free" spaceships tire. now only have red button to push, but nothing happens

facing the spaceship (when you come out of the elevator shaft) the cursor should change to orange somewhere on the right half of the top of the ship

Thx again RSA :)

lol, did you all solve it?

Its not that hard Sue.
As you connect them, they turn green so just twist away until they go green. At least its not as random as those damn door wires

sorry, but i am stupid?
from top left - should there be 1 line to the 3 orsnge things?

POP got it

ok, finally out with all your help

but i didnt see a single clue,
only the "star-map"

I'm stuck with lighter - coz I dont know how to light room(

how light the dark room?

Congrats Sue :)

Xenya, use the lighter (from the bookcase in the cell) and click on the light spot towards your right

and out! with clues for wires)

Hi, Wackyjackie here :). I'm glad that you like the game ;D.
Here's an outro which wasn't included into the flash version (the game is too big already :C):

And here's the right combination for the circuit part:

Needed the comments above & WT-link (see under help before game start) for several stuck moments,
e.g. wires: opposite colours not clear at all...
:-|

I did enjoy the game.
Most of it was logical (albeit brain bending) but those wires !!!!
Eish, boet. Give us a clue or two next time. They were impossible

Here's, how the circuit at the space ship should look like:
(click right to open link in a new tab)

CIRCUIT

Oops, didn't refresh while replaying for circuit screenshot...
Thx, Arkhar alias Wackyjackie,
for the outro & solved circuit puzzle, just directly from gamemaker's hand...!
;-D

Btw:
Where were the scary & bloody themes according warning in game description...?
;-P

Outro isn't running for me Wacky.

@RSA Momma Cyndi
Here you go ;)

Thanks WackyJacky. Always nice to know that take off was a success :)

@Cyndi, just for the record...at least MS-DOS was never case-sensitive.
Unix was and still is (and so is Linux)

Wow! I enjoyed playing that VERY MUCH!
I love puzzles, and there is a lovely cursor-change for the part of games that I hate - finding stuff!
Yes, the game was HUGE, and my pc froze almost constantly, but I just couldn't stop trying.
Thank you, Wackiejackie!

I do hope there will be more of these =D

Please ignore the rating at the top of this post; it must be a measure of players who are not up to this fine game. ;)

Thanks Arbeitslooser. I haven't used either in more years than I care to admit to - the memory isn't as good as it once was :)

Well I'm planning to make a new game in this style, this was just an experiment (my first flash game, the game came out about year ago as an .exe file). So be aware ;).

And thanks for the comments! They're really motivational :D.
Next games will be created without bugs :>.

enjoyable game -- cruising on to the Milky Way. :)

The only thing was I thought yellow/cyan and red/blue would be opposites. Took a while to figure out the correct colors.

And I kept expecting to jump at something in the game lol
