oohh BIG language problem
Huge language barrier. Dairy sais 2004, ticket perhaps 11/11 but 2004/11/11 doesn't work.
2 cards, a cake (placed) a book and no clue because nothing in english -
and I cannot turn the music off

Or perhaps it does. Text now says open, box is open, found a new ticket.
I don't think we get the final code or are able to unlock the little green door without translation.

Take the Mochi from floor, put it on shelf
Then, there is green drawer thingy to put date, and the answer is 2024/01/01 (from new year card)
The game did not load!!!

2024/01/01 does not seem to work...
Probably the numbers are not the same in every game?
Quickie walkthrough:
- Note box on the floor. It says "Treasure". Box is locked
- Note the puzzle on floor. It says "How much is the Otoshidama (money given as new year gift in Japan)"?
- Go right, pick up DIARY from shelf.
- Note the green door that can't be opened
- Go right, note the word "Lock".
- Pick up NEW YEAR CARD (it's new year card for the year 2024)
- Pick up mochi
- Go right, put mochi on shelf
- Go left again, now the sign says "Open"
- The treasure box by the door can now be opened, but before you go there, still on shelf scene, click puzzle on the bottom
- enter the date 2024/01/01 (from new year card)
- You hear a sound of something fell down
- Go right, pick up another NEW YEAR CARD (From year 2004) from the treasure box
- Go right again, pick up the PIECE OF PAPER that fell down. It says "Try harder on the puzzle"
- Go back to the date puzzle, now enter 2004/01/01
- You hear a sound.. now the green door can be opened
- Pick up the OTOSHIDAMA PACKET
- Look at item in inventory, note that there are 2951 yen inside (and wondered why it's such a weird sum!)
- Go to the door, enter 2951 and out
I think maybe you need to go through some steps first? e.g pick up the new year cards and all that..
I tried playing one more time, and the solutions are the same
Ah I think the code does work, it's just that it's not obvious. Once you entered the code, you can see the piece of paper.
Btw, I tried for the 3rd time.. you don't need to enter the 2024/01/01 and get the "try harder" card.. if you entered 2004/01/01 up front, it will still open the green door, and the ending is the same
Still can't get into the Trump game :(

Well, no, that was not it: I just didn't think of a mechanism activated OUTSIDE the room...that's why I had thought my code "did not work".
