For colour challenged pple, addendum to s-t's COLOUR PUZZLE (orange key) - thx, btw!
:-)
Click:
Pi - 0x/5x (start)
B - 1x
Y - 2x
G - 3x
R - 4x
Colours on dots, starting on 12 o'clock, going clockwise:
R-G-B-Y-B-G-R-G-B-Y-B-G

YELLOW key (angles), some explanations:
- all angles in a rectangle = always 360°
--> a = 90°
- all angles in a triangle = always 180°
--> 110°+47°+b= 180°
==> b = 180°-110°+47°= 180°-157° = 23°
--> 90°+c+d=180°
==> c+d = 180°-90° = 90°
(45° each = isosceles triangle)
Therefore:
a-b+c+d = 90-23+90 = 90-113 = -23
Conclusion:
- math in puzzle is wrong
(or at least a confusing a-hint)!
--> solution: 157
(=180-23 or 270-113 --> 3a-b+c+d)
:-o

Door code SPOILER:

1) spray from YELLOW key
(angles, use scissors from blue key -> clock time)
2) cloth from ORANGE key
(coloured dots, use pliers from red key -> coloured letters)
- use 1) & 2) on shelf above tyre

Lol Premiere,
Just back home and saw your post about the angles.
And now I'm wondering if you drink as much as I do :)

Indeed; in a rectangle or square all 4 angles are always 90 degrees. So A=90

Indeed; in a triangle the sum of the 3 angles is always 180 degrees and because the two given angles (47 and 110) are together 157 the third angle has to be 23. So B=23

Indeed; in a isosceles triangle one angle is 90 degrees and the other two are 45 degrees. So C=45 and D=45.

So far, so good, all correct:
A=90
B=23
C=45
D=45

But now the math;
The equation is A-B+C+D=?
So it is 90 - 23 + 45 + 45 = ?
And that is the same as 90 + 45 + 45 - 23
And that is the same as 90 + 90 -23
And that is the same as 180 - 23 and that's really 157.

Somehow you thought 90-(23+45+45) <=> 90 - 113 = -23.

QED Gamershood was right and somehow you got confused and thought you had to add up everything behind the minus sign before you subtract.

But, don't get me wrong, I still love you :)

What a... Rats!
Can't believe it! Totally brain blackout for my angle math post...!

Thx, s-t,

(& no booze here, btw!)
:-P

out with no help, no terror of spiders, and lots of pride for getting the math right on my own

ken ken is still a puzzle
