Needing serious help here! I have a blue gem, and have moved the little stool under the trident but still can't take it. And that's me stuck again...
make sure you click the left heart otherwise you restart
the yellow diamond is in the right room top right tile
Oh and now I have a yellow gem but don't know how.

SD in left room bottom left of pillar
Screwdriver is to the left of the pillar with the heart on it.
Look at items you find, they have diamonds too.
Anyway, found 5 diamonds quite quickly, but no idea how to open (or get) the heart.
Oooh screwdriver back left of the stand in the alcove
Under right side of the stool (about item view) is white gem
you can pick red diamond in left room and with trident get the green diamond
Got the trident - stab stab stab - but no further forward
one more diamond to go
Nvm, just could take the red heart from the pillar below the heart. I had the trident highlighted but not sure if that's necessary.
And after placing the 6 diamonds you're out.
I swear I checked the stool out thoroughly but only found the gem after Urban's post...

Well. That SD is freaking me out! You can see this sword (?) bolted on the wall, but you don't seem to be supposed to get it off there!
Just one thing is clear: the author is female ;)

Is there a clue to placement of gems? Got it through trial and error, but just wondered. I broke my heart so obviously chose wrong option.

Blue on thing in chest.
White bottom right under stool.
Yellow top right tile in right room.
Purple on screwdriver.
Green from using trident on green diamondabove the door in middle room.
Red from using trident on red diamond in left room.
Is there only an end with broken heart? I can't find any other.

Opened the hole in the wall with the 6 diamonds, but can't find anything else to do in the rooms after that.

Yep, there has to be more endings. When you click on the right heart after going out through the hole you're back in with all your items still there.
But how?
We somehow have to get the heart I think.

@val: you have to use the trident
The game has 3 endings.
Bad end is if you choose the right option in the starting screen.
Good end is when you escape through the hole.
Perfect end is escaping with the heart on the pillar. For that, click on the lower left tile in rightmost view (to the left of the girl's head) and press a heart button)

Lol Urban, that was just joking. It was about my typo about taking a 'heart' instead of a diamond.
Yeah, that trident! How can I get it off that wall?
Thought it's just a bit "pixely" but even with a surgeon's hand I can't do that with the SD.
Where's the trick here? :-O

First put the stool there.
arbeitslooser: Place the stool below the trident and get it with SD selected!
arbeitslooser, use the stool and then use the screwdriver on the trident

Nice...yes I had found the heart quite quickly even when I first played the game...
