got the bird after defeating the demon with sword.
use bird to rescue monkey
Saw 3 symbols so far
bruteforced 4th symbol, found two ends so far, but they seem like bad endings.
Ok stabbed some guy at the back of the right scene... placed two balls, created some devil face, follow where he is looking and now got a red bag?
My inventory is nearly full, only need a thing between monkey and black diamond (used)...
Has anyone got that basket looking thing?
got everything now and have seen the fourth symbol, but still don't know how to escape succesfully
Only 1 end so far, by bruteforcing the 2nd symbol. (I saw 1, 3 and 4)

to get the basket. But I'm not sure. Gonna replay it.
And why can we change the symbols on the 'jug'?

@Jo.C: the wave like symbol is a hint for the levers of the big skull door.

Hm, still one bad ending (getting out at the boat still shows the demons scaring a woman)

@mhtyhr: the last one I found was behind the big stone to the very left. Click on it with the dog highlighted in inventory
@Jo.C: Behind the big red dish at the very left. Fill it with the liquid in the red bottle (the 8 like thing down right in inventory) and it sinks down, you'll see the entrance then
@Jo C, use the Red thingy from demon to splash on the wall behind the jug where you got the rat..

When you put the 2 pearls into the rocks and see the giant's face click on the left bottom of the wall and get sake. You don't drink sake from the bottle, right?
@mhtyhr: you need the basket, the rope and the seeds. Combine that and you can get the dog from out of the hole.
Well I clicked the door after and it showed the girl on the boat cheering with the monsters beat up on the beach... is that a bad end?
Still don't get the good ending leaving the boat door. The sword is still useable. I think I have to do something with it...
Okay.. 3 end:
- Get on the boat
Bad end, because the demonn later went to the village to wreck havoc
- Go into the cave to fight demons without all animal friends
Bad end, because you would be defeated by the demons
- Go into the cave to fight demons with all animal friends
Happy ending

the sword was used to hit the first demon on the head to rescue the bird :D

ROFL...how do you distinguish a Japanese cat from a cat from another country? Well, look at its eyes ;-P
@mhtyhr: Yes, thank you, but all other things aren't useable after you've done things with it, but the sword is still useable, so I think we'll have to do something with it to get the good boat-ending. What do you think?
Hm, think I'll give up and accept that there might be only three endings. Thanks @mhytyhr for the background story (momotaro).
I'm inclined to think that there are only the 3 ending, because Momotarou would need the sword to fight the demons, which is why we could still use it.
Also, in the good ending after defeating demons, they are all on the boat heading home
Guys, how do you get the dog? Have combined the rope, the seeds and the basket, and I've been clicking all over the place, but can't get the dog.

I don't get the hint for the levers.
The hint for levers is on the spoon/ladle across the jug. Flip it to the connected dots. To start you out, the first dot is "middle".
EGDAWT
Start game with bag (of food/nuts?) in inventory
open shell
take PEARL and see SYMBOL (3 drops)
Look in hole and see SYMBOL (1 drop) and trapped dog
Take sword from under wood
left
6 symbol buttons -- you need 4
Look up in tree
see tied up monkey and SYMBOL (4 drops)
left
see rock, red plate, brown jug
take mouse from jug
something behind rock
turn ladle to see DOTS AND LINES
right 3x
See cat with ball
Use mouse on cat to get PEARL #2
Take black diamond
click open space for cliff scene
See demon chasing bird
use sword on demon
use purse on bird
place pearls in black holes to see demon face on cliff
use bag on left to get red gourd
go back to monkey
use bird to get ROPE
use bag to get MONKEY
go to cat scene
use monkey to get basket
In inventory highlight basket, add nuts and rope
use rope basket to get DOG
go to plate scene
use dog to on rock to get SYMBOL (2)
go to fence
enter code to open fence
SAVE GAME (down arrow on right)
BAD Ending 1
click boat, select "O" to escape
(you get away, but demons terrorize the island)
click circular arrows to restart
click up arrow to load saved game
go back to plate
use gourd on plate
get SKULL GATE scene
click lock
place diamond
set levers according to ladle clue
diamond turns blue and gate unlocks
SAVE GAME
Go through gate to get
GOOD ENDING
(everybody's happy)
For BAD Ending 2
Go through skull gate without all animal friends
You lose battle with demons
