Didn't have to ... just brute forced it .. played with those solid colored tiles until it popped.
I am out now .. but don't know the reasoning for those odd hot spots .. other than to keep us guessing and on our toes :)
Live is over but I am still stuck with that word for the green key.

Yellow key on window sill (use cutters)
Purple key in towel rack (use sander)
Orange key behind cracked tile (use battle axe!)

look on shelf right of bathtub, you'll find a tool for ladies for colouring their mouth (with 3x ??? on it)...!
