Deponia
Deponia is another new point and click adventure game. In Deponia, the world has degenerated into a vast garbage dump, in which the crotchety Rufus ekes out his sorry existence. He is part of the lowest social class, doomed to live his life in literal mountains of trash. He hopes for an opportunity to get into the world of the rich, who live in a floating city high above the clouds. Fate seems to smile on the snotty good-for-nothing when one day the attractive lady named Goal from the higher sector plummets into one of the trash heaps. Rufus decides to help the young woman out by taking her back to her husband. When he notices that Goal’s husband is a dead ringer for himself, he hatches a diabolical scheme to gain access to the upper world. However, things don’t work out quite as planned, since he has feelings for the beauty which limits his usual unscrupulousness.Help Rufus, the poor boy from the junkyard, to win over the girl from heaven. Only with this rich girl from his dreams he might be able to escape Deponia and, unexpectedly, to save the planet. Good luck and have fun!

Have provisions, bolt cutters, and matching socks. Still trying to figure out how to stop the toothbrush from mocking me.

Finished! Too bad it's only a demo. It was fun while it lasted.
@small-tool The toothbrush is last. You need a jar or can for the provisions. Is there something in your inventory you can empty?
I've got 3 socks but no pairs? Can't find pill bottle or catch that nasty toothbrush! lol

I have the oil can, but I can't seem to emtpy it.
Already have the moustrap for the toothbrush by using the plunger on the closet.
Anyway, will try to empty the oil can.
small-tool, the pot is in the sink (bottom floor) and to gt the toothbrush you must open closet (bottom room) first.
stuck with provisions, toothbrush, bolt cutters, hand torch and a pair of socks. A green sock is boiling on the pot. What to do next?

what to do with the left over wasabi pea?
Use the wasabi pea to catch the toothbrush.
It keeps saying "not a chance".Do I leave it down somewhere?
put the socks in the pot with water and detergent - do you need to turn oven on somehow? Socks not boiling?

Make sure you've got all the notes from inside the house. Then put them in the oven and then use the flame torch on it.

Now I'm outside, but I can't find a battery and don't know how to calibrate the harpoon.
When I went back inside, the mailbox turned back into a seat! (small bug)
The battery is in the storage space (the bottom part of the pod).
Went in and out again and now mailbox is back!
Still can't get suitcase into pod.
Suitcase goes in that storage space where the battery was.
Open storage space, take battery out, put suitcase in.
Use wrench to remove seat, put mailbox there and then put the battery on the mailbox.

i am still fuzzy on what to do with the pod - i removed the seat, opened the hatch, removed the battery, and put the suitcase where the battery was. now the seat and mailbox are in my inventory, and battery is dangling outside the pod. what next?
Game is buggy for me. Got all the items then started to pack, placed the toothbrush into the suitcase now I can't click on any items in the inventory and can't move away from the case either. No matter where I click he just stands there facing the suitcase.
Ok if anyone else gets stuck like that just go to the menu, save, and then click continue and it starts working. Fun game.

Can't figure out how to catch toothbrush. I have jar of wasabi peas. Can't open the closet door bottom room. Boiled the socks, but can't take them back - too hot. What to do with bolt cutters?
Dont know what to do after talking to Toni; i have the pod ready, cant take the fuse and nothings happens
I got such a kick out of this game I bought it right after I played the demo. It interests my kids as well. The controls are simplified (no choosing to look, pick up)and has an interesting story to it. The cinematics are quite impressive as well.

- put bolt cutters in suitcase on bed
- open closet with plunger, you'll find mousetrap to catch the toothbrush (& you'll need a bit of your provisions as bait)
- in sink, where pot was (oven floor), you'll also find a fork for the sock(s)

Nice game, and ... looking at the storyboard ... with a political message, too! Because if it goes on like this, in about 2400 - if the earth still exists until then - this might be actual reality.
