Hi mugglehead, any idea what to do with sound generator?
Need safe combination. 1844 does not work
@Jutti - I think I opened the sound generator in the bed view (by clicking it on the square to the left of bed ??) and you then put the notes in the positions shown on the paper on the table in the other inside view.
Sound generator goes to little box beside the bed.

don't have a remote
I can't get the cabinet to open. Am I supposed to get a different view - or just the tiny corner of the cabinet at the bottom of the screen?
@muuglehead - aaahhh, I think the remote came from putting all the picture pieces in. I've got to dash now so don't have time to try again.

Also, what am I supposed to do with big vase?
The vase has got me too. You need 6 panels for the bedroom to get a remote for the box with the cat. I'm missing one panel.
I am at the same spot as you. Need 1 more part of the painting and can't find anything else. Completely stuck and have used everything except the machete. Hoping for some help.
Retraction: I used the machete to cut the bamboo which I used to reach the piece of the painting on top of the house.
Any idea about the 5 symbols on the bedroom wall?
tried using the hammer on everything, especially that vase! think I will go to bed and try again in the morning.
started this game an hour ago, and everybody says "easy" and gone. Still stuck with one panel missing. symbols on wall and vase and safe.
I am hoping somebody will add in and tell us what we are missing.
Got shovel from behind girl and used it to dig hole in yard - got a chest.
Got hammer and smashed bottle in living room (piece#1).
Looked at paper and saw musical note's code.
Used code to open panel in wall (bedroom)and got key for chest. Combined them (piece #2).
Used machete to cut bamboo from yard. Used it to get piece #3 from roof of house.
Smashed small vase with hammer (piece #4).
Got piece #5 from cat.
Where is piece #6?

six pieces-
1. above the door from outside (use machete to cut the bamboo and get the piece);
2. give the cat woolen ball, click on the paper (woolen ball inside the small vase beside the door from inside);
3. use shovel for chest (shovel behind the girl), get key by using the music note (turn the buttons 231203210123 times);
4. right ceiling in bedroom;
5. use girl's tattoo symbols (7th click each) on bedroom wall;
6. use hammer on the bottle on the table with cat scene;
get remote control, use it bottom-left corner of the cat scene and number is the building number (above the door from outside) and bed cover number (SPOILER251844SPOILER); get visiting card, show it to girl, find ex-husband in cat scene and get famous...;)
