The books are the right clue. try to rothete them 180°

ah look out! don't need your knive two times on the trasch!!! then it will vanish and you cant cut the rope to get the broom!!

Crate clue is the bolts on the straight pipe, I believe.
cartmansis check the upper pipe in the room with the garbage bags
the other code are the bolts on the upper pipe

Use the broom to sweep the rocks in the 2nd room to get a hammer to use on water pipe.
i dont kno where to put 4 sticks ..
Check the bolts on the top water pipes for a clue.

just use knife on the rope ...
i have cut garbige with knife then disapperied, lost knife :(
Have counted leaves is that the code for the cupboard? if it is not working for me, can anyone help please. :)
walk thru
count leaves for cupboard get pick axe
use pick axe on the brick in the scene where broom is to get stick 1...
count bolts on the pipe for crate to get stick 2
also note the books position for dials
set dials to get knife
use knife on the bag to get key
use key on chest to get saw & colour hint
use saw on chair to get stick 3
use color hint on table to get stick 4
use broom on the stones in a scene with cupboard to get hammer
use hammer on the pipe below to get stick 5
place all the sticks in the ring of door to get out ...

I had to cut the rope on the broom before the sacks. if I cut the sacks first, the knife dissapears.

Oh great! I used the knife twice on the sacks and it disappeared but I got two keys. I couldn't find where to use the second key so I looked here and it seems to be a bug. I'm not starting again.

Clever puzzles -- the knife problem has been fixed.
Not COMPLETELY monochromatic.
For color-challenged, the buttons on the desk are:
(clicks = color)
0 = gray
1 = green
2 = yellow
3 = white
4 = blue
