If it makes you feel any better, I was stuck on the circles too... didn't think that was going to be it...
the colors on the chest of drawers with the puzzles does not work for me.......I also see red where the spoiler from @patsfan says B...what the heck?
@nokra, i think B = brown in this case.
The colors didn't work for me either. It's a bug. Try to click several times on each of the white ones, then change them back to white. If that doesn't work, click several times on the other buttons too lol.

Finally...yep...the brown looked a little reddish to me....lol...and I just kept spinning some colors, and it opened!
For the chest colors both white and off-white were options which might throw some people off. I had to use off-white
