  1. Cant even solve the triangle puzzle. Even though I found both hints -.-

    ReplyDelete
  2. I'm at the same place. This is amusing but weirdly scary!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Got the spinning figure but dont know where to use it. There is one 3digit safe and one 4 digit safe. Cant solve neither of them.

    ReplyDelete
  4. If you zoom right in on the green triangles on sticks, you can see that each has a darkened corner - that might help - I'll go and see.

    ReplyDelete
  5. They also have numbers on the bases, but still can't seem to combine the clues correctly

    ReplyDelete
  6. Haven't got the triangles right yet.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Okay I solved the triangle puzzle. Forget to check the numbers on bases. You need to combine the "shape" with the numbers on base and the hint in the drawer between the sinks.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Solved 4digit code now.

    ReplyDelete
  9. That's what I'm trying, but its not working. I get:
    4 1 3
    6 5

Numbers meaning sides counting right if that makes sense

    ReplyDelete
  10. What? Sorry I dont understand what you mean. Are you talking about the 4 digit code?

Just use the numbers of the rack hint and add them according to the "+"-hint.

    ReplyDelete
  11. got it - I was looking at the shapes opposite way

    ReplyDelete
  12. Miles - where are you seeing numbers on bases? The only numbers I can find are on the shelf between the sinks.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Clodagh: Just click the shapes. Then theyll flip and reveal the number on the base. Btw: If you find the egg, dont touch it. I did and need to restart now ^^

    ReplyDelete
  14. Thank goodness there's a save button!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Thanks for mentioning the save function. Totally forgot about it ^^ Did you solve it now? Anyone has any new hints?

    ReplyDelete
  16. No, nothing makes any sense to me, in spite of all the hints! Thanks anyway - I'll leave this till later - have fun!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Okay solved black and white sticks puzzle. Hint was on calendar when clicked.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Use hint with bell symbol from under 4digit sink on black haired guy with bell as a necklace. He reveals something from under his hair. But I saw it only shortly and cant get it done again.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Okay the dude finally gave me his hint paper.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Give bread to fishman in sink and catch him/it with bucket.

    ReplyDelete
  21. The paper should be hint for the 3digit code because paper and code both have star symbol. But I cant figure it out yet. Also its kinda boring to play and post all alone :(

    ReplyDelete
  22. lol Benzo, I'm stuck where you are.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Also stuck on 3 digit code....

    ReplyDelete
  24. Use both the calendar and the place of the numbers on the paper for the 3 digit code.

    ReplyDelete
  25. perhaps we could link the paper hint on the clue of the orange man?

    ReplyDelete
  26. I think we need a ladder to put the man-faced fish in the tank behind the man with the bell around his neck.

But first the door with the blue buttons.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The code is SP0OI7L2ER

    ReplyDelete
  28. Thx Pierre. How did you get it? Could you please explain for dummies? ^^

    ReplyDelete
  29. For 3-digit code: combine the note from man with bell around neck with calendar for the numbers and use the hint from right cupboard under the window for the order.

    ReplyDelete
  30. The number under 18 on the calendar is 25, so the star symbol is 2, the number under 13 is 20 so the strange symbol is 0, the number up 14 is 7 so the moon symbol is 7.

    ReplyDelete
  31. On paper you have:
    18
    sun 5

When you look on calendar, under the 18 is 25, so sun is 2.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Ahh finally ^^ Thx Pierre!

    ReplyDelete
  33. You're welcome, Benz0.^^

    ReplyDelete
  34. Stuck on the combination for blue cubes...Tried the hint from 3 digit code, but not working....

    ReplyDelete
  35. For blue cubes, combine the green triangles from the door with the numbers of the bottles again and use the order from behind the fish poster.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Cant figure out blue cubes aswell :/

    ReplyDelete
  37. Okay got the blue cubes. Thx.

    ReplyDelete
  38. for 4 blue cubes: add the cube you got (sorry don't remember)
look on the green triangles, the black dots from triangles 1-4 point to the corners
the order to push the blue cubes is behind the poster witrh goldfish, right to the water tank

    ReplyDelete
  39. 1=top right, 2=top left, 3=bot right, 4=bot left
    then go 413224

    ReplyDelete
  40. I also blew up the tv. Now stuck again. Cant solve red dots puzzle. But still got the tv remote.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I don't understand the red button hint. :(

    ReplyDelete
  42. Ah it was a tv screen ^^ Got it. Now trying to figure out the red dot code.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Cant make any sense out of it.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Maybe, has something to do with calendar again, but can't understand how...

    ReplyDelete
  45. For the red dots, look at calendar. Think of it as a grid. Connect 26 and 6 to get 27 (aka lower left button). Connect 16 and 7 to get 14 (aka upper middle button). Five buttons to push. :D

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm out but i'm searching an other end. :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. after u get gold key, u can look again at that guy's sitting on a bench notebook, for red dots...put that combination in a safe

    ReplyDelete

  48. I am going to have to wait for a wt. Even with comments I can't figure out the triangles. I always suck at these games. But I love the graphics.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I am still not smart enough to get the red dot puzzle.

    ReplyDelete
  50. wow, none of the above clues help me at all. I have opened triangle door and have weird worm in inventory and can't do anything else.
    need 3 and 4# clues
    anyone still here?

    ReplyDelete
  51. dont get black/white stick hint either

    ReplyDelete
  52. The black/white stick hint tells you how to set the black and white pins. First pin, lower it so only one black square is showing right above the tabletop, same for the second, and so on. You can lower the fourth one so only the top pin is showing.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Finally got the red dot puzzle. Well, the first one anyway. I was trying to draw a line between 16 and 7 when I should've been looking at them like (x,y) coordinates.

Still don't get what they should be to get the good ending, though.

    ReplyDelete
  54. what is 3 and 4 digit codes? Really stuck here.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Oh, had to open the gold key door to get the final dot code.

The four-digit code you get by looking at the TV on the wall in the new room, and doing the math on the bottles where you got the order for the triangles. I don't remember the code but I think the first digits were 5 (4 + 1).

The three-digit code you don't get until later.

    ReplyDelete
  56. seriously? no help at all? reread all stuff here and 072 does not work on box under shelf. no help at all for location of paper under sinks.
    What's up?

    ReplyDelete
  57. For the good end, check out the guy reading the magazine.

    ReplyDelete
  58. done a bit more but still can't figure out red dot thing.

    ReplyDelete
  59. evans
What Jason said: look at them as coordinates. draw a vertical line where the 2nd coordinate is (6, 7, 8). draw a horizontal line through the 1st coordinate (26, 16, etc). the intersection is a button to press.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I just don't get the appeal....and figured, why bother to open them at all??? LOLOL

    ReplyDelete
  61. for green triangles, combine 3 hints
on triangles on shelf: place black point and click to see numbers under the base
and numbers on 5 sprays in another view

on door place black point triangles in direction of--->

(1st row)black point in direction bottom left(4), up right (1)
    bottom right (3)

(second row) black point up left (2),middle left (5)

    ReplyDelete
  62. for black and white sticks, look under calendar black shapes
andto have sames black shapes click on sticks to have

    2 squares , 1, 4, 0, 3, 4 and door opened

    ReplyDelete
  63. WHOHOO!

Such a fantastic game! However, it has hardly been as difficult as this time!

Especially the triangles had gotten me, because I had always thought of them forming a sort of "lighting cone" (pointing 2 o'clock, 7 o'clock and so on) but never realized that it's the black spots which matter!

    CALENDAR HINT:

Use this section from the calendar as the "button grid":

    (**)

    13 14 15
    20 21 22 23
    27 28 39

The way Andrea explained it, is one way to do it.
    I did it differently.
Connected 26 and 6 with a straight line, OK.

Then I realized that to form a TRIANGLE, there would be two possibilities:

    - horizontal line through 26 plus vertical line through 6
    or:
    - - horizontal line through 6 plus vertical line through 26

Since I told you to keep within the grid (**), second possibility is out of range and can be ignored.

    Hope this helps (a little)

    ReplyDelete
  64. (the 'in-range' point where the horizontal and the vertical line cross to form the 90 degree angle of the triangle is the button to press! Again there are always two possible: one out of range and one within the "button grid".)

    ReplyDelete
  65. I had no idea this was still live! I stumbled and fumbled my way through and tried to make sense of hints and finally got out; but no real sense of satisfaction since I had to rely so much on help. Still, I love Detarou!

I will try to help anyone who still needs or wants help.

    ReplyDelete
  66. By the way, I just have one word for the turtle guy beside the exit door: Eww!

    ReplyDelete
  67. It's still "somewhat live" :) We're still missing one of the 4 endings, that's for sure.

ENDING 1 - PANDA (bad, when looking at chicklet)

ENDING 2 - out without stamp

ENDING 3 - out with stamp

    -

Have you guys realized that the dolls DID NOT SPIN at the end as they do normally? Plus, their look in the faces was not really one I'd call "joyful".

I have a suspicion that for ENDING 4, we must find a way to rescue the panda from the hole?
(Since even though he's an evil beast, we wouldn't be better than him if we let him rot away in the hole with his "friend"...)

    ReplyDelete
  68. I think for end 4, you don't put the panda in the hole at all. That would make 5 endings, one where you die. I haven't tried all.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I thought one ending might be getting pulled into the hole with the Panda, but I couldn't seem to pull that one off.

Did anyone else notice that the Toupee Guy in front of the water tank had wet his pants? Very naughty, these Detarou's.

    ReplyDelete
  70. @Michael Rest assured, just tried that. :) That is, only blowing up TV #2 (the flatscreen embedded into the wall) but leaving alone #1.

    Ending is the exact same...

Hmmm..maybe there is a third use for the remote??

    ReplyDelete
  71. Where did you get the remote?!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Oofff!...let me think. If I remember correctly it was in the left cabinet right of the entrance door (when you stand there, you're facing the menacing guy with the gun)

needs key from huge water basin...

(to get the key, think of the fairy-tale where the golden ball falls into the well and some 'creature' picks it up again from the gound... ;)

    ReplyDelete
  73. Detarou: Mad as ever haha

Hi all, just played this and could only get out using the really big help for the 'red spot' cupboard from arbeitslooser. Thanks for that mate :o)

    ReplyDelete
  74. Really? Glad to hear it was helpful to you!

Though a tad more complicated than Andrea's solution, it has the big advantage that it doesn't require "math thinking" (coordinates 'n stuff) :)

(I'd recommend Andrea's solution to "math freaks", though. (since they're familiar with Cartesian coordinates and that stuff))

    ReplyDelete
  75. If anyone wants to know how to get the stamp, after you've gotten the key out of the red dot safe, go to the last door and open it but don't exit. Go back and click on the lady in the orange outfit in the first room and see that what she's reading has changed - one side of her page contains a new red dot arrangement. Go to the red dot safe and enter the new dot arrangement - when I did it it backed me out a step so that I was looking at that man standing next to it. Zoom back in on the safe and enter the combination that let you open the safe previously, whap that man in the face with the door again and this time you'll see a GREAT BIG STAMP in the safe. Take it and escape!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Um, why does the game not load when I go to the page? It loads the AD, but not the game. Didn;t used to do this... ;( I want my Detarou.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Found the "bad" ending.
In the room with the 2 pandamen click where they point, you will (after clicking in many places where nothing happens) an egg, click the yellow part and it will turn into a weird chicken, then into a black hole, you die, bad ending -_-
