yay for me! found a key and a pump.

plus item at top of pipe and covered-up signs on the wall . Truly stuck
Got it. The note relates to the pipes in the first scene, you see the little star? Then use the note on the push button door.

Gives ladder to get handle from top of high pipe
not sure if this is right but i got the red cabinet open with the paper:left = short, right = medium, middle = long
Handle on to yellow thingy opens yellow door, push red button which opens lilac door
and out fairly straight forward
Filled the pump with water,but dont know where to use it.
where is the clue for the box?
never mind found it but can't figure it out.....

Use the water to clean the wall.
The box clue is on the saw.
count the separate cells on the diagram on the saw
Oh, on the wall behind the bars, gives shapes (count sides) for purple box...then press button. Get locked in with box. count areas on back of axe/knife thingy for number on box. Get green key. How do i get out of the cell?

okay figured out the box and got key but how do you get out of room and back into the other room to use the key?

I counted sides. I get 4853. What am I doing wrong? The door in room with water won't open for me. Yes, I have the ladder there.
Ugh, I should learn to count. Never mind.
I'm stuck at the beginning of the game with the pump and the paper. I thought that the hint short long short medium long long meant buttons 1 3 1 2 3 3 on the red door, but that doesn't work. And it doesn't work in reverse order.
pdgph, check the lengths of the three pipes. They are short, long and medium, meaning the order is: 121322.
