I found a stick in window (above bag) and smashed another window with that... picked up a shard...

clicked everywhere on the window next to door... no stick.

OOGGRR has the clue about the shard - after that everything (sort of) makes sense.

ok - smashed the window next to door with stick und took a piece of glass.
cut bag with it and got key ...

Window above bag on one of the horizontals - you can sort of see it - RHS.
