Had only 4 items or so when escaping and there are so many spots in the inventory!?
Hi small-tool. My inventory is full. I'm stuck with a black book, not sure if I used the key or not

I burned the black book, then used the key to get out. Since I can't read Japanese, I'm not sure if that was a good ending or not
All I did was using the matches on the oil lamp, then took the book the light was pointing at it and that gave me the handle for the drawer and in that drawer then end-key!?
got handle for drawer from book, used key on front door, didn't go out, because it looks like something is behind large picture?
You can switch between rooms. On the bottom of the bookself, you can pull out the middle blue book which moves the big picture
In the next room, use the clocks and the order of the colors on the picture for the safe

Can't find a black book!?
got brown book off of top shelf, right side, with picture of armor...not sure what it says
Small-tool, once you open the safe you get a number. Go back to the other room and use the phone. (highlight the number, then click the phone). Go back to the next room and the knight is open. Black book is in the knight
Ah thanks Miles :) Never would have thought to use a phone number paper on a phone. Thought I had to make the phone active or so, to dial :)

used number on phone, had a conversation, went to knight and it's not open....going back and trying to use phone didn't work either

ok, I did that: put the paper on the phone and there was a scene - I clicked the brown box a few times and went back to the second scene and the knight was not "open" - no black book for me!

There is alittle button above and to the right of the Mona Lisa painting. You have to push that to open the armor.
thanks, bill chinery, just found it.....didn't want to push, fearing it would move painting back, armor is open, and I have book now
How do I get it to start? There's an orange bird rocking back and forth but nothing to click.

Thanks bill chinery. burned black book in fireplace. Doesn't look like anything more to do. There's one empty place in inventory. Opened door with key and out. Can't tell if that was a good ending or not.
With a bit of guesswork and clicking various things, I'm in the game! Not the most promising start!

I replayed without burning the book and it looks like a bad ending (oriental words in red). I guess the black book is evil and has to be burned for a good ending...

Did anyone notice that after you do the thing with the phone that the expression on the lady's face changes? She goes from "sort of" happy to unhappy, and is looking at you...strange!

Wasn't that just the clocks and in the order of the traffic lighton the painting?
From memory I think it was 5, 1, 2.
But I think you also had to zoom in on (and maybe even click on) all those hints to make it work.
