I got six of the screens, if anyone wants help to get started.

...and then hopefully help me get any further. :-)

game is loading for me ..but im not much help for you @ Abbe

ok im out of here ...the game is not for me ..good luck everyone else ..

I'm no good at riddles, only found one answer so far

got a second one now

only just found the up arrows!

The up arrows only appear when you have 2 out of 3 answer from a row.
Have 8 answers so far, but no time to play now.
Will try to get back later.

I am struggling on where to start. lol

Mike easiest is the second

Well, quick hints then.
Bottom row (from left to right):
- What prime (1st or 2nd or 3rd etc) and the alphabet
- Morse
- Look inside the ripples (very small words there)

Second row
- Anagram
- ?
- The letters look a bit like real letters (4 letter word)

Third row:
- ?
- Google Feynman's diagram
- Just Google what the next step is from line to square to cube and now in 4D it is?

Fourth row:
- ?
- ?
- 4 formulas all about a different f....

I hadn't realised that Small tool, thanks!

Thanks a lot small tool, I appreciate you taking the time

thanks to small tool got two more now

Thanks had 2 of the 3 on first row, I was spelling it morris. lol

Hmmm did Bimmi miss a letter in first level??

googled "wow! signal", I am now comparing to get the extra numbers, but it's not getting me anywhere

Yes Leroy, I believe he did

I can't get the 4 letter word

LOL E presto I been trying synonyms but not got it yet

it end in "ing"?

OK flew thru 3 other levels but still dont get level one

the extra numbers I found are 23 5 9 8 4 4 20 9 21

level one : I believe the "a" is missing
5=C 47=O 37=L 37=L etc

found the 4 letter word at last!

Yeah E presto LOL I opened notepad and listed primes v letters

stuck on Ezekiel 1:4

have you found the other ones Mike?

nope, 2 of 3 on every level. I got the third one on level 4. but can't figure out either of the first 2

E Presto,
There seems to be a mistake in the wow level.
Just make numbers alphabet and read it from left to right. The 21 is wrong, should be 19 I think. But you will get it when just reading from left to right.

9 levels solved now.

I wish the hints didn't go away. :)

Btw. Leroy, no mistake in the first level. The nissing letter is hiding behind the answer box, you can see it when going from 1 to 2 and back again.

any hints on the Ezekiel 1:4 clue, S-T?

Mike Egger,
That's a little bug, they shouldn't go away, but sometimes it happens. Just write your answers down, restart and fill them in again and the hints are back.

Nope Mike, just back and only did the wow level.
Looking at it now, but so far I can't fina anything in that bible part.

Awesome, It was making it very difficult. :)

I tried that small tool, didn't get it. Do you read from top to bottom as well?

E Presto, from left to right, height doesn't matter.

Did anyone solve the penrose triangle?

ok got it small tool thanks

I'm running so late because of this game, have to go.
Good luck

Hm. stuck on Ezekiel 1:4, the penrose triangle and the square/cube with (missing) numbers. Anybody any hints?

Bye, bye E Presto :)

I think the Ezekiel one is something like UFOs but not sure.

Yep, it is about UFO's for sure, but I think the answer has to do with the last (part of the last) hint:
Why did the appear there?
What were they trying to do?
Were they trying to...

But no idea :(

I gotta run, still stuck on the ezekiel and the cube with the #'s on it. Have fun.

Bye, bye Mike, but if you solved the penrose triangle, please do leave a hint.

Well, the Ezekiel level is a bit farfetched.
It's about UFO's indeed and they are trying to visit us and to visit us they first have to l...

Hi guys just joined the game and stuck already. What is the answer to the Morse code type thing?

All I know is the penrose says "Listen you will share our understanding of alter realities." But do not know the answer.

3 shorts 3 longs 3 shorts. The only morse code most people understand.

Kaminari,
On top of this page: Note As with all riddle games, direct answers are not allowed, just hints please!

But the morse is visible in plain sight in the middle of the pic ... --- ...
That will give you 3 letters as answer.

Mike,
Did you get the Ezekiel one with my hint?
After that you can go to the top/last level. So maybe it's possible to solve it without the square and triangle one solved.
But that last level looks like a killer :(

Thanks for the hint Mike, I saw the warning belatedly.

Yeah, I didn't like the clues for that one. Thank you for figuring it out. My brain was going in an entirely different direction.

I have been googling away at the final level. The numbers are not making sense.

The hidden letters on the triangle can be anagrammed to "eternal", but it doesn't work. The final level gives three coordinates that map out to a triangle in Egypt. The center part with the four numbers-the left side numbers are two times the right side

Found Egypt as well, but still no answer :(
But, don't understand the Penrose triangle. How are there hidden letters? It spells Listen you will share our understanding of altered realities and as far as I can see, the only ones you can't see from that are D, E, E and R

You can't see the L in listen, ER in understanding, (possibly a second R) NATE in alternate. It's supposed to be listen you will share our understanding of alternate realities. The background is talking about Andrei Lindes theory of the multiverse, multiverse doesn't work either lol.

Ah ok, I see, you used ´alternate´ instead of what I thought ´altered´. Also tried ´alternative´ and even with Listen you, You will share etc. but no go :(

Yeah, it's making me crazy. For the square, I'm thinking it's a fibonacci sequence. For the last puzzle, I just noticed that three of the six side numbers have commas and three have periods.

Thought about Fibonacci as well, but wouldn´t know how the -1 would fit in (or for that matter, the 4 and the 14).
And yep the comma´s and the periods. Probably important and somehow part of it has to be time, or date. I think it´s about where and when.

Yeah, the hint says it's a set of coordinates and a timestamp...agh.

Alright, I am back at this deal. Any luck?

I absolutely guessed the square one, I have no idea how to get the answer. It goes with the Ezekiel one, and fire. One word.

Lol, no idea how to guess that answer, even with your hint.

And nope, Mike, no progres for me at all :(

For the helix with the cube in the middle. I googled helix forces and got a graph that goes from -1 to 14 but nothing that works for an answer.

Because the numbers on the cube looked like vectors to me. But I didn't get much sleep last night, so who knows.

Okay, the numbers going around are 1, 4, 4, 8, 16. I don't know why those are the numbers, but when you assign them alphabetical values you get a word. Lol I don't know why but I guessed the word and reverse engineered the numbers. I think it was supposed to be trial and error to find the missing numbers.

Sorry, assign them in order around the square and do the math (add or subtract with the outside numbers). So for the -1 and 4, you get 3 (C); +14 and 4 gives 18 (R); etc.

Thanks vevelyn06, got that one now, but don't see the reverse enginering process. Imho it looks like the numbers should be 4, 4, 1, 16, 9

Got that cube one. Now back to the wow one. lol

Oops, you still haven't got that one Mike.
It's not that hard, just the extra numbers to alphabet and reading in order and I'm pretty sure the very last one is a mistake. I get and U for the last letter, but it's an S.

lol the wow one is just a comparison. If I remember correctly, there are nine numbers added. Same process of assigning them letters to get a phrase. I don't think I can infer the answers for the other two.

Yeah, the last one is a mistake.

Btw. guys can you meet me here for a second?
http://www.escapegames24.com/2006/01/chat-box.html

Has anyone finished this game? I'm stuck at the penrose triangle and the last one with the coordinates. Any hints?

Same here Puffin...

I need help to figure out the cube with numbers, the triangle strip and the coordinates thing.

Verito,
Everybody is stuck on the Triangle and the final one (the coordinates).
For the cube, it's not a cube but a square and that's the hint as well.
1 squared is 1
2 squared is 4
3 squared is 9
4 squared is 16

Now you have the missing numbers. Now just do the maths with those numbers and the numbers on the outside and then to alphabet and you get (without anagramming) a 5 letter word answer.

Thank you very much, @small-tool, I could do everything from your hint except the last two lines because *nothing* seems to work, I tried different things just in case but no.

Lol, not sure if you got it now or not.
Anyway, the first would be 4-1=3 is C, the next 4+14=18 is R, the next one (going clockwise) would be 1 squared is 1 and on the outside 0 so you add or subtract nothing and it will remain a 1 and you know what that is in the alphabet, right?. And the same method for the bottom part and the left part.

Ohh, I thought the inside numbers had also to do with the order of the letters, I don't have the game right here but I think I got the word and now it does make sense!!! Thanks for being here, small-tool! You're so good and nice.

Checked out another site to find clues for the final two parts we're all stuck on and just not getting it. Can someone please help? This is driving me crazy not being able to finish it!

Doctorwhofan,
Vevelyn06 already found the method for the penrose triangle. Look at the inner little triangle that's made out of the inner lines of the penrose triangle. Make thos lines longer and they will cross letters (6 of them) on the penrose triangle. Anagram those letters to two 3 letters words.

For the coordinates one still nothing. The answer probably has to be a place and a time.
Maybe it's three points made by 3 pairs of coordinates, making a triangle again and then maybe it's the centre of that triangle.
And because of mirrored in the centre I think the top left coordinates on North should go with the bottom right coordinates of East.
But to me it lookes like two different coordinate systems are used, one with comma's and one with periods.
I was trying to make them the same with this site http://www.earthpoint.us/Convert.aspx, but I have got other things to do now.
And how the centre pic would give a timestap, no idea at all :(

Still can't get the triangle. Need to know which letters. I have 3 but don't know the other 3.

But I think I'm on to something about the coordinates. They map to Giza in Egypt. There are three pyramids in Giza that they believe mirror the constellation Orion's belt. Been trying to figure out just what answer they want but I think I'm at least on the right track.

Is it possible that the 'disappearing hints' is a result of 'using up' a set number of hints per play? I went through once, lost the hints, floundered a bit and found a couple answers without hints. (Nothing that y'all haven't already gotten.) When I went back, I didn't need hints for those, but still ended up at a point where hints wouldn't appear.

Hey there!

I've been watching this thread with great interest and want to let you know about a few fixes we just put up.

The disappearing hints were a bug that should be fixed now.
The hidden number in the first riddle is now better located.
The coordinates in the final riddle should now make more sense! (They were a bit off, we got rather number-blinded when making that :) )

Hope you can get through that last bit, I'll be watching this and if there are other problems, just let me know!

- bimmi

Thanks for the hint @small-tool but I still can't get the triangle either. When I make the lines on the inner triangle longer I don't get any letters from which I can anagram two 3 letter words.

Ok now I'm confused. The new coordinates now point to Greenland Sea where I've found information about a supposed mermaid or alien being spotted. Am I way off track here? Not getting any of this!

Thanks for the great game Bimmi.
And I see you changed the primes level and the coordinates level. But imho, the wow level has still a little mistake in it. The last letter for the answer is, as far as I can see it an U and it should be an S.

Anyway, still stuck on that final level. Don't know how to make 3 numbers for North and 3 numbers for East into one North and one East Coordinate and completely no idea how to make time with the middle pic.

Just a quick hint: The coordinates have 2 numbers each. I'll look into the wow signal, didn't see that error before.

is the answer going to be an event, or a place and time? I'm at a complete loss here

The riddle shows a place and time of an event.

Is the time a date?

and do I have to work onthe three numbers on the left to get an east coordinate, and same on right for north?

ok last question: are the positions of the numbers in the coordinate windows important?

The time is a date, the coordinates are spread between left and right (there's a hint to their composition in the center as well as in the edges). The positions are important (again, there's another hint pointing to that).

The triangle means and says Listen you will share our understanding of ------- Last of it don't know

I decompiled it but it turns out it's made in Flex while I only have Flash and I'm not sure what to do with it. Maybe you can take a look: https://mega.co.nz/#!dVMzmYKJ!JgjoGAWdgzuI_gUCBXQLcWfjPVQ_1rrgi4VQcim7GY4

I thought of something for the coordinates, but it meant not using all the numbers in the edges... Am I way off track?

is the background important?

Okay, decompiling the game can give you the answers, but it wont explain anything whatsoever. If you really feel you need it, then they're in an array in src/com/hephaistos/riddlertwo/Main.as, nothing mysterious about it.

As for the background, you want to take note of the colors. Those are very important.

thank you for answering Bimmi

is the date format going to be dd/mm/yyyy or dd/mm/yy or something else?

Pfew, well finally the last level is solved.
The middle pic gives you the method (two different math operations, one for the whole North part and one for the whole East part) you use on the yellow and green coordinates.
The purple coordinates will give a date with that same method.
The middle pic also gives you a year.
But the date is only an extra hint. For the answer you only need the place.

for the wow signal, if you google it, there are numbers shown in the game that are not in the real picture. i haven't figured it out yet but i figure that should be the answer :P

I need some hint for the last level. I thought the year was 2012. I can't see what math is in the central part, maybe I'm too much in a different direction...

The maths in the middle is about multiplying by 2 or dividing by 2 (depends if you go from left to right or right to left).
But for the year (that's a different method, not used for all the other things) its adding.

@Riley: you can convert those numbers you've found into the answer! It's coded.

c: Thanks s-t! I had noticed the doubled numbers but I don't see how to use that to make the coordinates, how to apply that to the sides numbers. Do I have to use the symmetry? Central reflection?

Verito,
First of all I think the link here is not updated yet (not sure if you use that one).
In the updated version the middle pic is still the same, but the left and right pic have slightly different numbers and no comma's anymore, it's all periods now.

The left pic is now:
33.297
4.5
10.27

The right pic is now:
80.692
42.12
70.6

On the middle pic going from left to right is dividing by 2, so you know on what pic to divide and on what pic to multiply.

Colours are important. Yellow on one of them is connect with yellow on the other one.
After your first math actions you have to add as last step and then you will end up with your North- and East coordinates and a date in the format dd-mm

The link here is the only one I know, Small-tool, thank you very much for posting the updated values. So kind of you. I hope I can solve it with this.

S-T, just over a week ago you posted a set of hints - Level 1, L2, L3 etc.

Would you mind posting an updated version please? (ie fill in where you only had question marks before).

And I am still having difficulty following some of the hints throughout this walkthrough.
I cannot see any words in the ripples in L1-c (there is no way to zoom in on flash on my computer).
I think I got the six letters in L3-a but as someone else said, they don't seem to for two words which go together.
And I do not understand L3-b at all.

Going back now to check the walkthrough for hints on that one.

Bimmi, the hints are still disappearing on my computer.
And the wrong (last) letter in the Wow puzzle is still not corrected.

@Ashley, L1-c is indeed very difficult to see, I went through a lot of trouble to see the text hidden there, I still have problems even when I know where it is and what it says. But this may help you: make a screen capture (print screen) and paste it on any graphics program, try to enlarge it there. You should be able to see it better (you're looking for two words).

More hints:

L2-b: the Wow level, compare it with the original because some things have been added! Write down everything extra that you see and convert it to 3 words. (Read from left to right.)

L3-a: "point" is the key, you have three strips there, one white, one grey and one black. So take for example the grey one: it's internal border bends and forms a ^ pointing to the letter O of "of". You have two more of those for the white and black ribbons. And you also have the internal triangle (the hole in the middle) which also points to three more things. Finally anagram for two words.

L3-b: it can be confusing because there are many things there and it could be anything, but what you're looking for is the blue part of the image, what's that?

L4-a: I don't know how to hint about this one, it was difficult for me too. But if you got L4-c (or L4-b) you already have Journal Entry 4-1, if you read it it tells you what they were trying to do and kept failing, hence the fire in the sky.

L4-b: When you get the numbers and do the math±, you get a second set of numbers and convert them to letters as you sure guessed, you don't anagram here but you start on the top left corner and move clockwise. Remeber for the missing numbers (i.e. the first set of numbers) they have to do with the shape you see, which is also a power in math².

Hope you're still around, s-t, I look at the date part to see if I get something that makes sense and... 8.10 + 21.06?? I see the 4.5 that was on the right is now on the left and 42.12 on the other side.

Thanks for your help Verito.
I got L3-b okay (though I'm sure I had tried that word earlier).
L2-a makes even less sense now - I seem to see more letters than what everyone says. And this is with using a small ruler against the computer screen to make sure I am aligning correctly.
However, I got to Level 3. But now I perceive this is really a "higher maths" puzzle and I don't quite follow your instructions for L4-b. All I get is a series of letters which make no sense.
Incidently, I did find out that the general shape (without the multi-helix added, and without the square puzzle in the middle) is (I think) one of Feynman's drawings called a Briggs diagram.
Does that have anything to do with the puzzle?

For L2-b you are looking for 9 letters total. Keep in mind some of the numbers can be 2 digits.

My hints for L4-b are supposed to complement those given above, specially small-tool's. But at this point we've probably left a mess so let me try to put them in order. The only thing important in that level is the squares with the numbers, the rest is decoration. You have a big square and a small one inside, both connected by short segments. You have the numbers in the interior of the small square, nothing missing there. Then you have the numbers in between, but only two of them and the rest is missing. Your first step is to guess those ones, do the first math, think of powers, relate them to the internal numbers. You are already given that for 2 corresponds a 4.

Btw, for the wow level maybe if you use (not necessarily literally) your ruler vertically instead of horizontally it helps more? Just a thought.

Verito,
4.5 + 4.5 is not 8.10 but 9.
And 9+21=30
So the date is 30.06
The year comes from the middle pic.
But that's all just hints, for the answer you only need the place.

I'm sorry, but I agree with Ashley. I can't understand what letters should be coming out of the Penrose Triangle, neither following S-T's hints nor trying with Verito's. I seem to Identify an O and L - Verito called out for the O, and the upper angle of the inner triangle points to an L), but all other angles point in directions where it is unclear what letter to choose, and no combination seems to give two three-letter words as S-T said there should be. Any help, please? it's the only one I'm missing...

Penrose triangle:

http://i.imgur.com/1ihsLmA.jpg

Guðmundur Hallgrímsson,
Please do tell me if this is too much and I will delete it as soon as I see your comment about it.

nevermind, I finally managed! Verito's hints were the key. One must really be careful taht he gets what the triangle EXACTLY points at - as in, prolong the hight of the triangle formed by the inner angles of each ribbon, and see what is the first letter it actually intersects. The two three letter words are almost the opposite of each other, in a way.

Okay - thanks to S-T (and my wife looking over my shoulder), I got the answer to the Penrose Triangle. .... that is, I think so. Unfortunately the game has crashed on my computer and will not reload, even from scratch.
I get the "Start" splash screen but when I click on "Start" all I get is a white screen with a Grey circle in the middle containing an exclaimation mark. I Also got L4-b, though I had to guess at two of the letters (the maths makes more sense when you know what letters you are looking for).
So I will try a few other ways, like closing the whole browser and restarting, but otherwise a disappointing finish for me.

Thanks for your help S-T.

Okay - reboot of browser did the job.
Just have to figure out L4-a & -c.

Going back to study walkthrough discussion.

For what its worth:
I still didn't get L4-c but got everything else up to there.
So on to Level 5.
Easier than I expected, though I do not follow instructions given for the co-ordinates. As I worked them out, they are off by quite a few degrees.
However, if you have taken the time to read the Journal Entries as they are given out, you will have seen the final answer (no I'm not going to say which J/E - you'll have to look for yourself).
I saw the "word" and wondered about it so I Googled it.
The year it happened is contained in L5-b if you do the correct maths (not sure from the discussion that anyone actually saw that).
I also saw that the left & right frames had no cursor available so only on answer for Level 5 (am I correct Bimmi?).
SO typed in "the word" and got given the original Journal Entry - which seems to be the end.
(Confirmation would be nice - somebody? S-T, you did have my email address a few years ago when I was trying these riddle puzzles.)

Ahley,
I'm afraid a while ago I cleaned my hotmail messages too radical without saving addresses. But do mail me (mail address on my avatar/blog) with any questions you have and I'll try to answer.
Anyway, I was hoping for a congrats screen after all the suffering as well, but nope, all you get is the whole journal to read and on top the 13 out of 13 solved. Nevertheless, I liked this riddle, quite an original format.

Hey guys, glad you've made it through!

That picture you posted is fine with me, not that many people are getting through anyway, and I'm not too keen on having that one being the most difficult one :)

As for the end of the game, you are correct in there being only one answer to level 5. The journal page should be a distinct one however, call it a congrats screen or whatever else, I didn't see the point in closing the game on it. Thinking on it afterwards, maybe I should have, just to make it more final...

Anyway, it shouldn't be the same as the original one (although it has the same header), but a sort of a closing statement. I did upload a version at one point where that was wrong however, but I just went over the versions on kongregate and newgrounds and they both seem correct.

(Also checked the one linked at the top and it's correct for me at least).

As for the coordinates, they are from the wiki page.

Thanks S-T.

And Bimmi also - thanks.
As with Small-Tool, I like the original format - quite different to anything we've seen already.
That didn't make the puzzle any easier though.
One change I'd like to suggest; is it possible to maybe put a transparent hue over the page when each puzzle is solved so that we can refer back to that puzzle - either when trying to help others, or when further information is given on the walkthrough forum.
A few times people talked about particular stuff but as I'd passed that level I couldn't go back to see what they were talking about.
And as I said in my previous post, I saw the date YEAR almost straight off in L5-c but missed what S-T said about the relationship between the individual numbers.

This comment has been removed by the author.

And I just checked the puzzle on my computer; The last journal page given is definitely the same as the first page.
Could this be because I didn't get an answer for L4-c?

Out!! (I needed to say it, rofl!) Thank you Bimmi for the game, I hope there will be more.

Thank you small-tool for your help.

I had found a set of coordinates but it wasn't the place because I found nothing there, so I wanted to solve the date as an exercise to see if I was understanding the math. I was considering the decimal point as if it was a "/" or a "-", so 4/5 x2 = 8/10 in my mind. I felt so very silly when I saw s-t's comment @11:27pm 9/1/13 and realized I failed doing basic math! D: Oh, well I went back to work, found the date, found a set of coodinates... which was the same one I found in the first place!! I looked carefully and the answer was there (I had to use map photographs to know what was there). So... silly me twice.
And for the year, I still haven't found out how to get a year out of those numbers, even supposedly knowing the "method" rofl. Silly me x 3.

Bimmi should be proud people are still discussing their game after so many days, still being live. I hope we have more in the future. Thanks again for making it. It was a very good game.

And I agree with Ashley's comment @3:32pm 9/3/13, because I had the same problem. And I'd beg for a "save" button because in a game like this that you have to play in several days it's useful but if your computer also keeps crashing like mine it'd be a blessing not to have to retype all the answers every few minutes.

@Ashley, I entered the answers except L4-c and I still got the final CERN report which doesn't say "journal entry n-n" this time (I just didn't get the journal entry 4-3).

For L4-c don't overthink it, all of them are formulas of ..., the last one for example, is Coulomb's something. Just one very simple word.

@Verito; thanks - I'll try that (start the game AGAIN!).

As for year date, add all four!

And Cern reports: The original (at start of puzzle) also didn't have a "J/E #". What I got at the end was an exact copy of that starting report.
But I'll go through again, with ALL the answers this time (L4-c, now that you explain, is just way TOO easy - probably why I missed it).

Did you find the final answer where I said to look?

A 3-letter word, Verito? Doesn't work. Or have I missed something else?

(Another was Hooke's _ , right?)

Never mind. Small-tool has explained where I went wrong - it all makes sense now.
It doesn't pay to put that final answer in if you want to recheck everything afterwards.

Thank you so much for all your help! I finally finished it! For the last one, I didn't need the coordinates either. Once I had the date, I was able to figure out the place.

It is a shame that such wonderful riddles are in a game that has been so poorly executed.

There are some fantastic ideas here, but not all of them translate to flash games well at all.

Well, questions unanswered.
level 3.1 penrose triangle: letters are lel oan? No words pop up.

I was about to give up on the physics picture, but decided to Google F = ke.
Saw a word there : Force. Used it and tadaa, solved. lol.

Unanswered questions also: the coordinate-ones on the top level.

The middle one I solved with help, but don't know yet why to add the 4 dates.

       Anonymous  12/1/14, 7:43 PM

arrie, you have the letters right on the triangle.
Just anagram them into two words.

Couldn't tell you about the rest of your problems as I quit right after it was clear that there were issues.

Thanks for responding HerpingtonvanDijkstra. The anagram solver gave me 'one all'. I didn't think of turning the two words around.
But it's morning now, fresh in my head. solved it now.

John, the WOW Signal : google it, then notice from left to right what numbers were added in the game, they form three words. Like s-t said, the last one is not 21, but 19, so an S.

I finished the game but I don't know which one you mean with the voyager?
Let me know through cbox?

I liked this game. The haunting sound (not for hours, but very good). Didn't like the math's however. Luckily there are always people who do AND they leave hints. I'm very thankful for them.
