Ate rice, pushed switch, ans stuck.
This is no room escape game; it's an adventure game with a platformer flavor.
Even reminds me of old C64 games because all floors are connected by ladders ;)
(P.S. There are two versions: the version linked above is the Flash version; click on 'HTML5' to get a Flash-free version).
stuck where you are roberto, jumped to reach the ladder but no luck, need a surpise for the creature below but can't seem to find it.....
arbeitslooser
:P :P :P look at the author's description - under the game :P :P :P ESCAPE GAME
examined the bookshelves...
At the left one, it says "Find a (?) dublette (?)". Perhaps we are supposed to find a duplicate.
@Megi and your point? Sometimes even authors miscategorize their games ;) Happens in music too ... found an 80s track on youtube posted by a French guy named a "funk bomb" and it was just mere bland europop...
there is a ladder to the room with the key - near big black place upstairs
the 'brade' is a Japanese Katana longsword...
going in circles, got 3 bars of gold so far, but it doesn't help, can't reach the stairs up in the screen..... anyone a tip?
Not yet...first I need to know from you where to use that sword :)
oubliette not dublette ;)
Well, apparently I'm stuck in an infinite loop of getting blade, getting key, getting gold, and feeding monster. Nothing else is happening, nothing else to do, and 2 ladders I cannot reach. Lovely. I'll leave this one for now. Good luck all!
use sword on big door
Yep, get sword, cut door, ket key, use on bottom chest, get gold, feed monster. 3 times I've done this.
Although there is something outside the bottom window that "it does not reach"
on the chest near the creature below arbeitslooser, it's a paper door, you get a key from that which opens the treasue box on the right below (hope it makes any sense)
@Megi I know, but thought it's a typo / mistake in grammar. However, my dictionary revealed that "oubliette" actually was a tower where prisoners were held short on food...
It's a kind of dungeon...
you can repeat this over and over but it got me nowhere, the creatures thanks you for the gold but he has quite the appetite i guess because he eats it all..... and more as far as i know
A PAPER DOOR??
You guys are awesome, I was feeling stupid hitting everywhere with my katana to no avail... ta' much.
but now what.... going in circles...... again grrrr
Yeah...I don't know if this is a glitch or just poor game creating, but I'm 3 seconds from smashing the window there and jumping. Thought I would stick around for someone to figure it out, now I'm done.
Not only can you repeat the gold sequence, but you can also eat rice repeatedly and look out the window upstairs.
I was expecting some Popeye effect there (eating so much that you get excess power) but no ;)
lol my idea exactly arbeitslooser,
i'm, giving up, no fun this way at all, nothing to find or to do besides what i allready did
how did you all get a sword?
E Presto
go upstairs, then right then use ladder - go down
I can't get this to load using either Chrome, Firefox or IE. What's the trick?
there is a secret part of floor in the room with treasure chest
thanks Megi, didn't think of going down, how stupid of me!
@Siobhán Long's sister:
Try the HTML5 (no-Flash) version, here's the direct link:

I've finish the game and I must say that I like it ;)
Thanks, arbeitslooser, but that doesn't work either.
All I get is a 'now loading' page, but nothing happens beyond that.
I came back to this one and I just LOVE how people say they finished it, but don't say how they got past the past ALL of us seem to be stuck on.
It:s kind of late but you can go down from in front of the sword with gold.
