Battery and 5 books on gray bookcase
Use knife on "stuck" printer
Combine 2 letters from wastebasket with 6 characters from printer for safe code
After you cut something up be sure to click on the hole
Place 5 books back on upper left gray bookshelf (in some trial-and-error order).
I think placing the books made nightstand open, click on it to get lighter (not best use of this game engine I've seen).
And out. The tall yellow cabinet is never opened, didn't use log. Remote needs 2 batteries before you can pick it up, then use on PC for safe combo.

Don't know how to enter the letters and numbers for the safe code. I'm assuming that 2013 is translated into letters - TM - but I've tried all sorts of combinations and nothing works. Any hints? And where to use lighter?
I think the remote came out of one of the sofa cushions that you slash with the knife.
Oops - was trying the wrong safe I think - I'll try the one on the wall!
Yes! I was trying to be too clever. Have a key now.
The key led to a SD, which opened a dark cupboard in the kitchen. I've tried using the lighter to see, or to put the log in to light it, but neither works. Hmm.
Finally hacked the torch off the wall - used in dark hole for hammer.
Out now. What was the log for?
