@Catqueen, yes I did water the plant. I have two stars and two coins.
stuck without black key - coins so far from vending machine return and watered plant - also have 2 stars
Try button on cola machine and open gate for coins.
There is a sneaky spot on trays of copy machine left from lady.
Black key is hard to find, look behind the lady and examine the box for papers.
3rd coin is in prison after having black key.

In one of the room there is a Chart on the table. Take away the papers and you'll find a ruler to measure the line.

@daveyden - I totally agree with you. People get frustrated and can't figure something out so they call the game "buggy" and blame the game maker, when, in fact, it's not buggy at all!

- watering the plant in the left room between the chairs
- from vending machine, press Money eturn
- after finding black key by copy machine, open the barred gate

Very helpful hints here, thanks. Would not have found black key on my own I think.
Love these games and always give them 4 or 5 starts, but became very frustrated with the color code, which it turns out you don't get until watering plant. I had clicked on the cup several times and it didn't go into my inventory so was going in circles. After reading through clues here went back and found spot on cup. Don't think it was a bug just a very tiny hot spot. Still love SD and look forward to more.
