When you got there it seemed strange, there wasn't anyone around, then when you tried to leave you noticed the door was locked! Now you have to figure out how to escape! key under rock, flowers used for code red box from bush, arrow box clue on stones in front of rabbit, have placed to eggs in nest and stuck with only bucket left

I seem to be in the same spot. I've opened boxes and the door to the shed. I filled the birdbath and now I am stuck with the bucket. I need the silver and gold keys.

you know, I visited but didn't comment for ages in here once you had to choose from the drop down list for what profile to comment "as" - I didn't have any of those accounts and didn't want to have one. Now am here under "google" though I never use the google account for anything.
I liked this one. Easy to navigate without a map, and the sequence of clues made sense. Or, I've just had more coffee this morning than usual.

I think back in the days when I first started playing, you only had to enter your email addy, so I used to comment - then I didn't for a couple of years. But I didn't often rate games, either, lol!

Brilliant as usual, only needed help with the anagram as I was sure it should have been 'raked' considering the theme. Now's a good time to sow your carrot seeds btw (if you're in the northern hemisphere)
rbud57, same for me here, played for years before starting to post, cause I didn't have an account either. It's fun posting, but also very addictive, sometimes I have to find a balance between relaxation and addiction-behavior .... !!
Took me far longer than it should have to figure out I could go forward, through the locked gate, from the beginning. My only gripe is that ^%$^*%# flashing advert to the left of the game! That nearly drove me spare.

Maybe people giving low scores were like me, I thought it was pretty bad until I noticed the you could go up in the first screen. I didn't notice that at first. After finding that it went pretty smoothly except for the anagram, which for the game theme I thought would have been "raked", I don't know were "drake" came from.
RSA Momma, use the option to make the page smaller, I don't know how it's called, sigh, but I mean the button next to the red 'close the page' button. That really is a beautiful beautiful button !!

People give low ratings for all sorts of things that others give a game higher ratings for. For example, since this is not specifically a kids website, I always deduct a little (not a full star though) when a game like this that is specifically geared for kids shows up. I do the same for games that are specifically geared for adults, FWIW.
In addition, not everyone adopts the same default starting point for rating games. Some people default every game to 5 stars and deduct as they go, some default every game to zero and add as they go, some default to the middle and go up/down as they go. Further, some people give certain game makers 5 no matter what, even if they do a complete botch job of it.
I've seen games that nobody could even load get 3.5 stars, and I have seen brilliant games only get 2 simply because they were miscategorized as escape games when they were really more toward being hidden object games.
Bottom line is that the ratings really aren't all that meaningful as they are completely without a standard to use as a reference point.
That bunny rabbit was so rude. I offered it a drink of water and it said "I don't want that".
Nice quick game. The moving worms under the stones had me fooled as some complex puzzle when infact it wasnt.

as far as what people rate any self defiant/melting mindz games, I never go by what others rate their games. I know I will be playing them, and that the game will be satisfying. who cares what others think, they are known for a great game.

He is responsive to people pointing it out and fixes it rapidly

joe m, i agree 100%. i have played games from a lot of different creators. s.d.'s are by far the best with the fewest glitches AND THE FEWEST ADS! we all know that ads are necessary to pay for playing, but when they are so annoying that playing isn't even enjoyable...well i'm preaching to the choir. thank you self defiant!

That is simply not true. Free online gaming was a dynamic and growing enterprise well before the internet was commercialized and before there was even any mechanism for paying game developers. Completely eliminating advertising from the internet would not result in the cessation of quality free online games. Quite the opposite, in fact.
If you look at the history of online gaming and the affect that the commercialization of it has had, you will clearly see that advertising has done what it always does...stifle creativity and limit the expression of imagination in the development of the product.

@marita - One egg is from bird when you fill birdbath
One from black key which is under rock where there are white flowers
One when you give carrot to rabbit
Gold key is from placing al eggs in nest

I use the tile option when I have the larger screen but on my laptop, I need all the size I can get out of these, to see what the clues are, so I usually go full screen. One of the many joys of getting older
Good game but had two problems. didn't see the up view in the first screen for the LONGEST time. and i had to Cheat to get the "drake" clue. I still dont understand why it was drake....
