You can spin the left flower to open the door.
thanks gnm, I have the red start installed and the cage moved over, now need clue for four levers
Where is this door your on about please
you have to mix powder and water, and apply to back wall with wand to see the door. Clue was in book after using ink on it, with feather.
Clue for the levers is four green plants in the first scene.
I have treied combos of 4 chess pieces, lions feet, etc. can not figure out 4 levers.
i tried the plants too!
Am searching for ink now...any help gratefully received!
ok, sorry, I was using the wrong plants, not sure hopw I missed those. Key was hard to use too, click to the right of the cage to zoom in just a bit so you can use it.
Found think now - duh!

Click the base of the chess piece on the left - there's a secret panel on the right hand side of the base if that makes sense!

Where is the red star for the cage contraption?
I am stuck without red star as well.
I have a ladle, the knife, a bowl with yellow liquid, and a key. Don't know how to proceed. Any hints?
Oh, I see. You have to make the star with the yellow goop. Go back to the tree in the first scene and then pour the yellow liquid in. Then go back to cave and use the ladle and lava to turn it red.
Not nice to call a child a brat.
Also mind the two views inside the cave. You'll have to be using the second, slightly-to-the-left view in order to unlock the cage.

I can't even get into the cave. I have the door open (TY gmm!), a knife and the clay (?) star in inventory. What am I missing?
POP! I didn't have the door all the way open I guess. Out now.
