Anyone else playing? I have a piece of paper, a clue on the wall for the door, and I can look at a bunch of cups. I'm now stumped.

Thats where I am.

finally got the first !

look at the positions of each number on the paper clue and match it with the shapes in the picture , for example 111 positions matches the XXX positions then the X is the first to click etc ..

The paper: look at the shapes/directions the numbers make and find those on the picture on the wall. (they don't line up like that, but for example: 111 is three shapes in a horizontal row, and the 666 is three shapes in a vertical row....)

Look at the number clue and note the shape made by the numbers. Find the symbols on the wall that match the shape.

Totally brain frying on the cups though. I get the general idea (different cup in pattern, I'm assuming) but.. am having trouble.

fdbbd2 look at each shelf starting at the top. For each of the five positions, where does red "turn on" and "turn off"? Top shelf only position 5 is red. Second shelf, first position turns red...

For the last one, think Roman numerals.

ohgod thank you bibbster, I was trying to make a.. code or something not an on/off sort of thing (which I only got after opening a screen shot in paint and coloring the cups..)

the third ?

For the third, turn left and get the clue from the cups. Turn left twice more and open the top cabinet. Count letters and covert to Arabic numbers.

duh Thanks LLM completely missed the clue .. was wondering !

i dont get the clue for 3rd, any more hints?

The 3rd letter in the top row is an I and you need 3 of them (333), so it would be III=3.
Second row 7th letter is a...

aaaaah now i c, thanks a bunch

Yw! :)

I do not see the cups ....at ...all....
can someone give another hint?
I'll try to talk it out...from top start with right red, then make first one red and then ...nope! I don't get the on/off part! LOL

I don't know what happened ...lol
I went to try again, the first clicks were saved apparently because I just clicked the last one that was red and it opened... LOL

Roman Numerals, Not Arabic numbers

Easy except for the red/black cups which I didn't understand. There is a video WT out there if you need help like I did.

Clear! Easier than imagine when i start, great game

The best Hottategoya game in a good while. Especially the first puzzle was great.

Cups (red/black) this is a top-down SEQUENCE, such as "activate 2nd+3rd, then in next row, add 5th, in the row that follows take away 2nd," etc.

It's best to write down a 5 x 4 grid with the cups like: (example NOT the solution)

B R B B R
R R B B B
B R R R B
R B R B B
B B R R R

That last room was harrrrd! But I figured it out on my own, so I guess it probably wasn't that hard at all. Heh.

Thank you @arbietslooser!

This one was too clever for me! Would n't have got out without all the above comments - thank you

Good except for the red and black cups. For anyone else like me who wants to know how the answer is derived:

1. click 5th square to be red, as that is the only "red" on the first row of cups
2. then click first square to make it red, as on the 2nd row there are 2 red cups, the 1st and the 5th.
3. Then click the fourth square to make it red also, as the 3rd row has 1st, 4th and 5th red cups
4. Click 5th to make it go black as that row has 1st, and 4th red cups, so the 5th red has to be turned black.

The reasoning is that on each row there is something different and you have to make the squares reflect this. 5th square red, then add 1st square red, then add 4th square red, then make 5th square black.

Sorry but the Moon/Star code does not compute. Although numbers 1,3,4, and 6 are set firmly there are several possibilities for the positions 2 and 5. Namely, **x/*xx and xxc/xcc. This would give the positions for 2 & 5 as x & * or c & x respectively. However, neither of these work. Usually this designer makes great logical puzzles but this is ridiculous.
