got newspaper and screwdriver and stuck. Need hint for box on cart at pop machine. key and key card. No idea what Newspaper is for. too small to read

Took me a few tries to figure out the newspaper clue.
Hint: Read it as an equation.
look at the pattern on sock from cart on 2nd floor for the 5 button box

Missed that hot spot too, although I'm sure I went over the picture several times. It must be a good game, if it is a bit of a challenge, but seems really easy once you've finished.

Yes, SelfDefiant, I did read the newspaper not so much because I was avidly expecting a clue but because it was in English and reading nothing in particular can be as relaxing as typing it while you think about what to do next but if you enjoy typing why would you pay someone for jibberish when you could just as easily type it yourself
