knife block next to stove is hint for 3x3 black/white

going in..

knives in block are clue for 3x3 grid

poked holes in lid of jar...put cables/wires through...have battery, pen, jar in inventory...no clue how to get up to handle...can't get water in the jar...anyone?

found a ladder after pushing the red knob

after picture puzzle, gives ladder to go upstairs

lines on bottom of table don't work on the black box..

you can get pencil mine

pushed on top of pen thing...changed into a rod thing

what red knob?

number box IS the table lines, just upside down

Jessicac, use 1-6 left/right hint on blue picture

Jessica - solve the picture puzzle and the painting lifts to reveal a button

not entirely sure what to do with the black box now!

tried r-l-r-l-l-r...is that wrong?

completely stuck with 2 batteries, ice pick and jar (put in black box)

changed pencil into a rod

Jessicac, it's ok. I've lost view of the sofa, at the beginning

Hotzen - how did you get the jar into the box? It won't let me place anything in there

POP! geez! it was all that 'soothing' clicking!

POP - attach the rod to the lid (forehead slap)

third battery behind the colour coded number puzzle!!!

Robert, I combined cables with lid, and pencil mine, closed the jar and placed in black box

and out! Thanks all!!

Robert, nice find!!

Where's the clue for the colored numbers?

coloured number clue is after you attach batteries on top of black box

obviously having issues with the whole scene i missed at first...cannot get my black box opened :(

I think I'm with you there Jessica but with only one battery.

lol! i have 2 batteries! but sheesh! i clicked pictures forever...till i realized i missed the entire first scene! haha

Number of lines on table legs have no effect on that box for me!

If I remember correctly black box spoiler

If this box doesn't open soon I'm going back for that rifle in the squirrel game!

nvm! had to increase zoom...was seeing '3' vs. '4' on back leg

Thanks Robert.

That must have been the only combination I hadn't tried!

TY Robert! I did get it before you posted ... blind from that soothing house

Battery hunt is now on.

one is under sofa

my batteries won't attach...to give color clue...i am sure i am doing it wrong! :D

In the scene that I missed as well!
Thanks Jessica.

ha! let me know how you attach the 2 to get the color clue austen! :D

not sure what my glitch is today! :)

Sheesh! When Robert said he found the battery behind the colored numbers box, I thought it meant we had to solve the box to get the next battery.

He meant, literally, BEHIND the box. (face palm)

omg! the 3rd battery is upstairs BEHIND the color code box!

Hint above says that the third battery is IN the colour code box.
What are we missing?

LOL! Peggy! dual face palms! :D

Peggy and I are completely fried from the soothing house...

woo hoo!

"third battery behind the colour coded number puzzle!!! "

Not one of my better performances today.

TRIPLE face palms! :D

jessicac, I totally agree! Completely fried!

I must admit that I found the soothing house pixelly but not too bad.

I simply couldn't locate all the 'click' spots austen! it was maddening!

It does help when you have your PC attached to a 50" plasma!

well, yeah! on a 13" macbook pro! hahaha!

Ainars games look stunning on it.

it is funny to go back and look in a case like this...i am sure those guys were like 'big dummy! just click the picture'!

i bet! very cool!

Table leg clue "upside down"?
I don't think so!
If it wasn't for Robert I'd still be trying combinations at midnight.

SUPERB!

Out with no help, and at that difficulty level! This was both great fun and a great challenge! Thanks NE.

Red herring: Water ! (Even though jars and water fit perfectly together ... uhm normally.)

oh... found it... look under the window!

I have the (exit ?) key... but no door to use it !

This game definitely DaW. Liked it alot..

Zoom in on the table. Take the pricker from the table.
Zoom in on the table-legs, count the rings :
7 4
6 5 (but wait, there's more to it).

Zoom in on the knifes on the left. note their position in the block.
Zoom out once and zoom in on the little grid on the right drawer.
Use knifeclue here (empty holes are white) = cables.
Upper drawer = a glass pot. About item it and take the lid.
About item the lid, prick holes in it. Attach the cables.

Zoom in on the windows on the right. In the middle one of the 5 cups = a battery.
Click the right cup of the three, take the pencil out of the one behind it. About item the pencil, click the top a couple of times. Click the lower part, attach this piece to the cables.

Zoom in on the window with numbers.
It's not about two numbers, but the number-order 1 to 6.
Click bar to get to the other part of the room, zoom in on the picture and click it's sides as shown on the window = PUSH. Do that and a glass panel below the windows will open. Go there and take the ladder.

Zoom in on the black box. The button to push it open after filling in the correct numbers corresponds with the place of the little box on the table.
So, 7 is down right, and 6 up right, 4 is down left, 5 up left =
the box door can be opened. (Take a good look .... there is a reflection in the glass ..... zoom out twice).

Click the brown couch on the right. Underneath it = a battery.

Back to the other part of the room, click ladder, click the handle up high, again to attach the ladder, climb up. Click anywhere around the little box = battery.

Back to the black box, place the batteries on top.
About item the glass, put the lid back on.
Place the glass inside the box.
Push the button on top.
Open the box, read the numbers in red yellow green and blue.

Back up the ladder ... put the numbers in the little box. The order here is blue red yellow green = doorkey.
Climb down the ladder, click on the right side of the screen.
Leave ....

Finally, I found the exit door on the right of the first scene.

lol, I rest my case ...

Thanks for the WT arrie, usually love these and can work my way through them, but this one I thought was very frustrating, especially trying to figure out what was in the black box when opened. Too dark and no logic to the whole thing but that's ok, will look forward to the next one.

Loved this one!

You're welcome!
I couldn't find the 3rd battery, cause I didn't see the couch at first.
Then took a looong look at the reflection in the glass and realized it was a couch opposite of it.
