Clicked robber after he gave the numbers and got 5000 from him. What was the orange tile/book for?

Now why couldn't I just hit the robber over the head with the hammer instead of using the ATM?

5 in that scene, clicking the T, it's on the right side
50 in first drawer behind counter.
10 in second drawer
100 below the box with colored balls.
500 by using the hammer on the T.
1000 by using the key on the drawer at the right side
500 in the trashbin
5000 from the robber.
