IDK. Those debris looks like japanese characters.

Some explanation... the code comes indeed from the books.
As u can see above the code box, there's a snake, a human and a carrot.
If u take a look at the books descriptions u can see that all the books on the top shelf talk about carrots (人参) - 3 books. The blue books on the middle shelf talk about snakes (蛇) - 4 books and the brown books on the lower shelf talk about a human (人) - 6 books

Doing the math : snake*human+carrot = 4*6+3 = 27
