I must be missing something. I only see one birdhouse. Have triangle, circle, heart, hook and box from closet. where is key and orange star?

Thanks for the help left here. My game quit on me and I just can't be bothered starting over. I still only found 2 rooms anyway. No ever did say where that key was.
aha! simply connect the colours to form a solid pattern, so A to A and B to B if that makes sense - get clue for sliders when all done
can't see how to work on these grids
evans, by finding the orange star you go ahead,can't remeber which but you have to click on every closed cabinet or shelf you find,even in those with locks

I got it somehow but the final pattern .. made no sense...

triangle-dot pattern - how to apply it?
use the middle dots as the column,sue..then click the nearer buttons up and the further buttons down of the middle dot
use dots,3,8,13,18 as the middle line
for the sides click on the 2nd and 4th dot in second row,and click the last dots opposite each in the last row

What's the letter combo, I see no hinty.
Figures, i find a nudge just as I post! I missed a door in the cab for the ball!

Ya know, now that I think about it, that sort of sucks. ENA games are famous for not being able to solve a puzzle unless you SEE the clue. That's cheap. AND get rid of those stupid blinky arrows!

Didn't quite understand the hints for the cabinets. Had to resort to walkthrough video. But, have to agree with myrdlebp....Thanks ENA for another fun game other than the cabinets.
In the first scene, on the staircase, it looks like a door. They are 4 shelves on it. The star is the bottom one. Click each one of them to get an item.
