one symbol in a rock 3th scene

I am stuck with 2 oranges and a key, don't know where the last symbol is

There's a symbol in the rocks above the bridge, and one in a fork of the tree in scene 1

I've got what seems to be a key mold, but have nothing to put in it.

You're right Peggy; these games that don't show hotspots are click-fests. I'm addicted to the music though.

Clicking between the trees in scene 1 shows a mirror image of a number, but I have no idea where to use it.

Combine stick from left of bridge with hook from ? Collected 6 oranges and put 4 in front of bird cage. Don't know why...

Have checked the walkthrough and can't pick up the things I need to make the key.

All that clicking, then find out I can't pick up the necessary things at the end for the key mold .... Big Red X

You CAN pick things up, you just have to do things in a certain order, such as...
You can't add water to the pot until you tie a rope on it first and pick it up again (put it back in inventory)...
Fish soup items must be added in order...
You can't pick up the mold & gold pieces until you feed the man and tie him up....

Blue birds give key-making
instructions (4pcs) after you
feed the apples to them.

Then you can obtain the items.

Out, thanks Kev! The appearance of the bird scrolls was waay too subtle for me. The mirror image number wasn't relevant.
