It's a bit of traditional riddle tricks, once you've tried to solve a couple of riddles, "first things first" is always what you first look for LOL what about if you try the contrary too now?
Look at the instructions..... try counting too :)
I've found 4 eggs in the maze so far...
-Some of the letters in the maze you can't reach. What can you make from those you can?
-First things first...
-...then Last things last.
-A = a A bee = b A bee, see? = c This hint makes no sense, Xaq! = f
Running out of ideas for where to look for eggs, though.

'First things first' is a riddle term, often used to look at first letters. Like the first letters of words or sentences.
And with counting you can, for exampele count words in a sentence or count letters in special words.
First things first usually refers to picking the first letter of things and then anagramming them to find a word. Sometimes it is the first word in a line or sometimes a sentence and sometimes a group of words. The same trick can be used using the last letter of words.

Lol Mako, you better not use your nose. You are doing great, with the 6 good eggs you can solve the riddle using the rewards.
I'm starting to feel like an idiot. I can't even get started. I've tried all the obvious stuff (and yes, I pushed the red button. It seemed the right thing to do at the time). I'm not getting anywhere. Read through start and and instruction pages again and again, looked for anagrams in the capital letters etc etc etc. Can someone give me a little push to get started?
There are more rotten eggs. But only one of them is important. And it's obvious when an egg is rotten or not.
But anyway, you need 6 real eggs and one of the rotten ones.
At first, that is, because when you think it's over it might not be over yet :P

For now, the numbers you see are not important.
Maybe that's more fun for later.
Just keep on finding eggs till you got 6 good ones. And then do something with the given texts.

Mako, you need 4 eggs from the maze, 2 good and 2 rotten, and 4 eggs from the text. The numbers don't identify the eggs.
If you count a position of one important word in the sentences, there is something connected with the subject, but backwards - is it a coincidence? I got 4 eggs from the text and 2 from the egg, so I know where to look for them, thanks!

Okay, I tried nparb, no dice. Highlighted the page and I must be blind. The only thing I can tell is different is part of the back button which takes me to START.

@myrdlebp, you did right apparently, you should be seeing something, did you "select all", ctrl-A, not just highlight? (the only thing that I can think of that could be failing.)
The position of numbers - it must mean something, but I'm not sure how to place them on the eggmaze
I thought that too Mako, but it is the wrong track. Try to make sense of your reward clues, google will help. Use the numbrs later.

Okay, I'm lost. I found the egg in the maze that corresponds to all the letters you can reach from the start, but I'm not getting the slightest hint of another egg in this. :[

@Verito, yup! I did the ctrl+a, for some reason the page won't let me right click and Select All. Have NO idea why.
This is about the 3rd or 4th time I have tried this type of game, sure wish I could get the hang of it.

You will find 6 letters in maze but use them twice. First all six and then minus one.
OH! And to verify, I am past the Red Button, I'm on the 2nd(?) with the chicken video.
I'm doing something wrong here- I found 2 eggs which led me to the "Well done, you found all eggs and solved the Easter riddle" page
myrdlebp, once you find an egg, go back to the maze page and look for more, save the egg you found for later
I did that earlier, so I still don't know how to get the rotten eggs.

And in the maze: to find the other egg; dead is not the end, but the start of finding 5 other letters.

Mako, for one rotten egg, look at the exit signs, one letter looks different on five of them, describe it (colorletter)

...Okay, I'm having no luck wrapping my head around what it means by taking a closer look at these things...I mean, there's names that go with them, but all that applying the numbers to those gets me is an unusable jumble. :[
The numbers will tell you what letter to pick from names.
Maybe you have one or two names that are not the right ones and may be giving you the wrong letters? Did you make sure to get the right names for those versions? Other than that you shoud be right.
AH! That was it! I had 2 of the letters wrong (oddly enough, both wrong letters were U's instead of what they should have been).

I have a question.
This is one that I often have when a Selfdefiant game comes out.
As a game maker, how does it feel to have your work "picked" so quick? I know this has to be a time consuming venture and then to put it "out there" and have a swarm of vultures swoop down and filet everything into the open....
Even though it's not my cuppa tea as a game, thank you for the time you have put into it. You will never have to worry about me exposing any riddle secrets! LOL

@myrdlebp, thank you for your kind words. I don't see myself as a real game maker lol. It was just a riddle meant for fun and I had fun making it. I don't mind some players solved it so quickly. I know xaq from other riddles, he is a very experienced riddler and Mako seems to be a very clever riddler also. I hope you don't give up on riddles. Jon and smalltool both made learning riddles, maybe you should try them.

@ myrdlebp Riddle makers fall into two categories, the ones that don't want you to finish and the ones that want you to enjoy the game. We, the DS, want games to be fun so we allow hints and help people play and enjoy the game. All riddles made by the DS team are meant for fun and big hints are allowed. I allow complete walkthroughs of my riddle....answers to every level....sometimes I even give a button to push to show the answer. I prefer it when Clio does a walkthrough though as she is always funny with her words.....these games should be fun and a team effort. Go EG24! Solve these games, but, as always.....Good luck and have fun!
Up to six eggs now - 3 good from text, 2 good from maze and one rotten from maze. In text, have 1st, last, counted. What else am I missing?
Janet you need one more from the text. Each sentence has a word that has something in common. You should expect it to stand out. They all have something exactly the same.
From comments, think I have to count something more in the text - have tried the position of words with a "certain letter" in them and the position of the "subject" of the puzzle in the sentences. Neither seemed to get me anywhere.

Janet, look for a specific word in each sentence and then do the counting. Like Lin said, they all have something eXactly the same.

I am obviously doing something wrong. I put an answer in the URL and I get nothing. Not able to do ANYTHING WITH THE MAZE.
I took the first letter of each sentence and got T*eh**t - Put that in the URL and zippo
Then I took the letters by the exit signs and that spelled a work and still nothing

I can't seem to get past the extra level. I think I found all the eggs, but other people seem to be putting numbers to them and mine aren't numbered at all.
Anysia - if you've found all the eggs and have put together the phrases to get the next to last clue, you'll be on the screen that says Congrats. To solve the bonus level, go back to each of your egg screens. Remember what you did on the Instructions page to find the Start button? Do it on each egg page and numbers will appear.

Don't know if you will see this, Dutchie, but I just played through this despite it being totally the wrong time of year for it. It was very clever and well-made :) Would love some more seasonal riddles from you in the future!

@Abraxxass - not sure if you're still here! Do you have the 6-letter egg from the maze? If so, take those letters to Granny again, but don't include the one that's near the sign without the r**x. That should give you your final egg.

How refreshing to find this riddle (after SUFFERING) through 60 levels of Cipher Crack the code and return to EG24 and this delightfully entertaining, breath of fresh air! So I'm a few years late, and a couple videos missing. Still enough with wonderful hints from folks here to solve. Thank you for restoring my faith in fun that riddles can be!
