I'm pretty stuck, help requested. Right now it's at the point of trying random things in random places.
I have used: fork/spoon, corkscrew, key, screwdriver, battery, plug, bottle.
I still have {unknown item, 2nd from the top in the right column, looks like a stick with a blob on the end}, the cassette (I can't find where to use it), and maybe a receipt or the international symbol for washing ;) -- 2nd column last item. I've only solved maybe 1 puzzle (46108) and right now only the music is keeping me from closing out! TIA
OK, I resorted to going through the comments...Got and used a CD...
unknown item, 2nd from the top in the right column = cutter
cassette = use on cassette player, forgot where but it does NOT look like a cassette player.
Will be around for a bit...
Oh, thanks, bumjelly. I also read it stays active after use so I can't tell if I used it or not yet. I'll take another run around with the cassette.
Oh, the suitcase right under the screen! Now I have 10 and some Japanese onscreen... ugh, translating.
Cassette player = 1 scene left of opening scene with remote, on center low cabinet
I think i'll have to wimp out on this one. All I get from the translation is Notsukurero. It's just too much of a struggle. I appreciate the help, though.
For the late comers - don't forget that the game has a save function. Most games, I forget to even be aware of that.
Not a walkthrough or a hint through - just leaving basic crumbs from stuff I wrote down, in no certain order. Several things in this game are illogical, such as the playing cards puzzle and placing of the voodoo doll in a certain scene, but hints for those are in comments somewhere.
Incomplete as my input is, it may help struggling newbies or late comers. Cheers!
BTW: This excellent game deserves a good walk through, alas I'm not up to the task. Where's arrie NL when you need him?
SD from lower left @ booze bottles
Corkscrew from brown box on floor
Cassette from left cart, top tray, in scene w/ 1 speaker.
4 color puzzle, right cart, in scene w/ 1 speaker
Clue for 4 color puzzle on vending machine, R side, in big window scene.
Battery, for remote, lower L of cabinet under DJ equipment.
Place mobile phone on DJ equipment
Fork and spoon in rattan tray by laptop, use on square plate, lower 2nd scene, to get a 5# code.
Put cassette in player - see comments just above these.
Cash register in opening scene, upper left.
Use SD on Coca Cola sign, upper left, to get plug for wine fridge next to box w/ ? on it.
Click blue light to enable 5# puzzle for code from square plate.
Re-click fridge to get wine bottle, use corkscrew to get key.
Use key on RH white door = receipt, 1 of 3 needed, I think.
Mobile phone and chalk / pencil at lower section of LH white door.
Code from playing cards used at secondary location puzzle gets voodoo doll.
MOst other info is in previous comments. Have fun!
Very enjoyable Game - 5 Gold Stars!
Bumjelly - great idea to post your hints - goodness knows we were all fumbling a bit.
But FYI, Arrie of the "wonderful walkthroughs" he be a she! ;-)
Okay - I 'fess up - I was fumbling a lot!
Seriously I thought Arrie was a "he". Dutch form of Arthur (Aart) perhaps (nickname-sort-of), like Cath[y] for Catherine.
Anways, managed to "decode" the third beverage:
ハイボール
HIGHBALL!
It's a sort of liquor, as Google showed me. Never drank this stuff IML, tho`.
Great game, AND...don't forget...
this is not fiction -- that café is REAL!!!
BTW, are you perhaps running around in circles, have paid your food but the door is still closed?
Nobody told you, but I will: you can't pay your food, close the cash register pane and expect to get out!
You have to grab the exit key too, which is BELOW THE KEYPAD of the cash register!
That is, to obtain it, you have to click on the wide rectangular whitespace below the number keys. Just pointing that out.
OK, Janet. Got it, he be a she.
