book clue is rather complicated
I think you are way ahead - cut pillow with knife for drill
drill on picture above billiard table
gear under the painting with knife
third gear from pool table
have 2 wheels, one cog, stick, picture (used), drill (used once), yellow ball, knife and log
need 2 more gears
not sure how but got green ball from painting in secret passage
use spoon to eat jelly for a gear
combine wood wheels and stick, after you drill the log
you look at the right picture to see missing parts, fudge
I am out..
4 of the big pictures have a billard ball in them, you have to look for a small hotspot in each. I put the 4 balls on the billard table (bruteforced the colours because i did not understand the lines on the pictures) and got the last gear.
use ram on door then candle
really am quite lost here - Dazz which painting with knife for gear?
With log and wheels you make a battery ram to open the big white door.

In the new room there is a stone, use it on round window ...then examine stairs and use knife for another wheel.

Quick and simple for me this time. :) I still don't know what the book was for though.
It seems that the book hints are for the hotspots on the paintings, e.g. "Tea, Earl Grey, hot" and one hotspot was on the teapot.
But I don't understand at all the order of the balls. Watched a video walkthrough but still no clue, how the order comes.
That's kinda what I thought too. Already found everything before I opened the book though.
punnivinn for the colors I just looked at the lines to see what balls fit it. I got yellow and red and just guessed the other 2.
OK, checked the CoolBuddy explanation with the picture, understood now but have to say that it's rather obscure.
Mighty1, the lines are the traces of the balls if you try to hit so that every ball touches the next one. Blue ball moves very little, so no trace for it. Obscure anyway.
And red and yellow ball have the same shapes of traces, so it's not clear which of them is to be hit first. Or is there some clue for it? Didn't find in CoolBuddys walkthrough.
