For the wall of symbols to the left in room 3, locate identical symbols (there seem to be three of each), click to highlight them and they will disappear.
You will be left with the only three symbols that don't match any others.
Haven't been able to get them right in room 2 yet though.
Don't know what to do with the animal symbols in room 3.

No idea for animal, fish tree symbols either.
Ah, not only can you move them to an adjacent empty square, but you can also make them jump over another symbol into an empty square.
also can't find hint for 5 black pipe? in room 5

Well, I've just resorted to the walkthrough, and I still can't make sense of it, so, to quote my favourite film, "Good Afternoon, Good Evening and Goodnight!".

Got it and out finally.
Had to resort to the WT for the picture relocation...if there was a hint it was over my head.....
