can't solve the last puzzle with dots (knife, box, pirate hat) you have to set them in a special order, but nothing works

am out (after a while a skip button appears on last puzzle)
rather helpfully the line puzzle second scene and the disc puzzle light up when you have found correct placement. Also had to use skip for last puzzle
I cant find where to use the hammer, nor can i find the word even though its obvious what it is. May i have a hint pls. Thanks.

thanks laotzu, in my hunt for where to use the hammer, i found the shovel. Now i need to find where to use that. lol
omg. It has taken me that long to work out to use the hammer on the shovel. sheesh.
Use the hammer on the shovel for a scroll
On the last puzzle, start by putting the ball on top of the first vertical line, so a pic drops out. Now put that pic in and try to make all the horizontal lines like the pic left of them. But you have to be VERY,VERY patient TRYING to put that pic in :((
where is the hammer? also where to use the cloth
Use the cloth on the spilled oil barrel, and it was so long ago that i got the hammer im so sorry i dont remember where.
The hammer is in the scene right to the one with the barrel, somewhere below the buckets in the back
Need one more ring to go on wall. The outermost ring.
Got it. Thought I needed more gems for that thing on deck - only need one and move it around the board.
I had to wait for the skip button for the last puzzle... only one disc worked to put in... I tried really a lot of times to put them in, everywhere...
I am stuck with 5 coloured buttons and a 4# hint from cannon balls. don't know where either go.
also need out ring for that puzzle and 2 more knobs for the ships wheel.
Ok, found spot for coloured circles. now stuck with just the 4 cannon balls #hint. Where does it go??

Never mind. Had to look at walkthrough. Directions for anchors on post in same room as compass dial. Unlocks a bunch of stuff.
Sheesh. Now trying to figure out how to start the icons puzzle (hats, swords, chests). Have one ball for that. Do I need 2 more, or what?
Walkthrough again. Sigh. You need to pick up the brown ball then drop it "above" first column. Then for the rest, drop each disc on the top picture. Better yet, just hit the skip when it appears.
VEEDI, your games are getting better.
[Here's a tip: I have DishInternet. Means when I have to look at a 9 minute video to make the last puzzle work, it chews up my internet allotment. I would rather not play, than run out of monthly I-net allowance. Things need to work smoothly.]

cannon ball clue is for a 4 digit number I stumbbled upon on a wood colum.
Terrible final puzzle.
