For 4 number safe at top of bookshelf in middle room, use the 4 coins clue from far right room. Note the number of dots at top of each coin and the date on the coin.
Completed game with no glitches. The symbol clue in bookshelf is used with shapes puzzle in far left room. Symbols not used in same order as clue.
Stuck with a book I can't read. Missing the triangle and I glass square. Unknown code for the symbol in far right room

I just can't work out the coins clue for the 4#...

Jules, The dot above the date is telling you which number in the date to use, so 2 dots means use the 2nd number, etc.
Check your inventory for the triangle, The shapes kind of flatten out in the inventory bar.

Missing one more coin
The triangle on the stool is for the rotating puzzle (very tricky to do), but there is also a triangle for the left scene that I can't find.
Pinemanred, did you check stop far Left?
Are we talking about the same triangle??? The one on the stool goes on the puzzle in the middle room not the far right wall.
I thin I got the hexagon there, or at least another shape ... I do remember picking something up off the stool

The other triangle comes from doing the 3 color wheels far right middle room, just under the arrow. Sorry for the confusion!

Colour puzzle: use the letters in the clue, not the colours.
Dazz, you will get a magnifying glass once you do the shapes puzzle in far left room. Use on the book.

Hotzenplotz, I'm not Dazz but I can help with the shapes. It's semi-intuitive (the star goes with the star, etc) except for the pentagon. Use all 4 shapes. The leftover shape goes with the pentagon.
for symbols and shapes: note similarities, eg: star and star in circle...
