As I usually do, I'll record my findings as I move along the game...
Scene 1: Key obtained from 4 letter puzzle, which is solved using clue from windows. I think I got the orb (gem like round object) by using the ghost detector on it...
Picked up: Ghost Detector, Orb, Paint Remover, Old Basketball, Rusty Sign, Globe, Old Book and Key. " Hotspots on chairs, one on black rectangle to the left of screen and a Safe with an unkown code...
On Scene 2: Confirmed, Ghost detector is used to pick up orbs...
Scene 2, picked up: Orb, Rusty Ball, Chair x3, Symboll, Saw (sneaky, looks like a knife, by musical notes, left of screen) and a Room Key.
Errata on first post, says: "black rectangle to the left of screen", should say "right".
Placed symbol, Rusty Ball and Rusty Sign.
Placed 2 chairs in Scene 1 and moving on to Scene 3...
Hi Julian! Hint: use flashlight in room 1 for key
Scene 3, picked up: Globe x2, Chair, Orb, Symbol, Room Key (by using Saw on wooden box). There are 2 more things similar to the wooden box on the bottom left and right of the screen.
Placed 3 Globes and 1 Old Basketball. Also a Symbol back in Scene 2.

Scene 4: Symbol, Globe, Ornament (looks exactly like the Rusty Sign), Old Basketball x2, Rusty Ball, Flashlight, Room Key.
Placed Rusty Ball, Symbol and Ornament in Scene 2; 2 Old Basketballs in Scene 3; and 2 Chairs, 1 Globe and 1 Old Book in Scene 4.

Hint: sneaky chisel in room 5. check door way
Glitch alert: if you use the ghost detector on the chalk board in room 5, you get an unlimited supply of orbs that you don't need to complete the game.
Scene 5, picked: Old Basketball, Symbol x2, Rusty Sign x2, Globe x2, Old Book and Orb... No key so far.
Placed 1 Symbol and 2 Rusty Signs in Room 2; 1 Old Basketball in Room 3; 1 Old Book and 2 Globes in Room 4 and 1 symbol in Room 5.

Room 6: Got Rusty Ball, Old Basketball, Globe, Get key by using paint remover.
Placed 1 chair and 4 orbs... got a 5 digit clue.
Placed 1 Rusty Ball in Room5, 1 Old Book and 1 Globe in Room 4 and 1 Old Basketball in Room 3.
Use code on Safe for 1 more Old Book... And used Chisel on Big Room Key, to move on to Room 7...
Room 7, picked up: Rusty Sign, Rusty Ball x2, Symbol x3, Old Basketball and 1 chair, seems I'll have all items... lets see...
Placed 1 chair in Room 6; 3 Symbols and 2 Rusty Balls in Room 5; 1 Old Basketball in Room 3 and 1 Rusty Sign in Room 2... 45/45 items picked and placed.
Now back at Room 5, picked up 18 orbs, using glitch detected by Maximom... Why? Because you should always escape with treasure whenever you can! Might sell for 1 buck a piece... HAHAHA

Same problem here. I see now obvious choice in the word clue in scene one.
I've tried alphabetical order and anagrams of the letters on the window, so far nothing works Science Nerd!

Word clue is from LEFT to RIGHT. AILOD should do it.
