Can't get out of the door. What am I missing..
Well, can't find anything else to do and the door is open so I'll assume I'm out.

Place for cans is after you open a door.
You need 5 coke cans for one of the scenes. My game stopped too when I opened the door and saw a house outside. Figured that was the end of the game.
This place is getting crowded with everyone trapped in that last hallway. XD

why wont he leave? Never to escape?
Well I think I've reached the end of the game - escape door but no 'great escape' message. Not had this before. good game otherwise - straightforward and fast : )
What great hints! Everyone made it to the end, but didn't bother to leave any hints on how to get there.
I'm with you, Ginger. No hints from anyone, working it through solo.
I have found a hint for the symbols on the wall in the far right room on the left wall upstairs.
The 2 sets of 5 numbers can be inputted into the windows upstairs.
There is a symbol under the wooden box in the opening scene, one of 4.
The six colors on the chest will open the cupboard in the scene immediately right.
When you have found all 4 circular symbols for the spot over the cupboard, their order is found on the floor on the right side of the right room. Then you get a key and can move on to the next scenes.

Found a paintbrush in the room just before the new scenes using the 2426 code on the TV. Use the paintbrush on the cans, and then on the cross-like devices found around This will give you the clue to the sliders in the TV room. Warning: Do green last! My paintbrush disappeared and I had to restart.

I now have the colors for the pawn, knight and queen - missing the colors for the king.
