The blackboard clue is not for 4#s, it's for 3 letters (but you do make a number).

clues rather convoluted

Look at the barcode upside down.

You can't use the 4 coloured cubes until you see another clue as well.

Not getting the colour clue from the book. Only three of the colours are changed? I've tried BF'ing the buttons every which way I can think of, and no joy.

combo it with coloured cubes, that have lines on them for how often to click the toilet buttons in order

Some poor puzzles let this one down. Not one of Mirchi's finest.
