As there are some red herrings in Amajeto games once in a while I missed to see a very important hint for a whole lot of time.

The gingerbread pieces are paired in one scene. Think co-ordinates when looking at the picture clue.
Very clever way using the two gingerbread clues! It took me a bit to figure out they were coordinates.

I can see 5 gingerbread pairs, but I have absolutely no idea how to convert those into coordinates. Might have to escape via the X button.
