ReplyDeleteI think the Japanese code was 1 click for the first position, no clicks for the second position, 1 click for the third position, and 2 clicks for the fourth position ... but I am not 100% sure I was counting from the default position. :(

ReplyDeleteFor the Japanese code, you look at the character 寅 on the wall behind where you enter the code. (The character is "yin" in Chinese, and it means first of the lunar calendar.)
ReplyDeleteThe 上--下 direction on the code box means "top to bottom."
So you start at the top of the character and choose the symbol that looks the closest to 宀, which is the Japanese katakana ウ (u).
Going down from that, the next part of the character is a horizontal line: 一 (meaning "one")
As you continue to move down, then next chunk is: 由 (a "reason/cause")
And the final part of the character is 八 (meaning "eight")
So the code is: ウ一由八
Huh, so according to google translate, 寅 means tiger in Japanese. Not what it means in Chinese...

after opening the door, do NOT exit! instead, click the paper fan at the left side of the room to shake it, and you will see a green card behind it! take the green card, THEN exit, and you get the "happy end"!
