ReplyDeleteah, finally go somewhere. On the cabinet to the right with the two little white chests on top, you can click the lower part and open the door to get wine and a corkscrew.

ReplyDeleteI was able to get into the sauna using the directions above. Just follow them as there are two views to get through after the first one. The second has the door centered in front of you, and the third where you can see the match has the perspective of looking out from the sauna into the room.
Finally got the wine open. You know you're on the right track when you see the corkscrew in the top of the bottle! and then the bottle opened. THEN you click on the glass. Although I'd prefer just bypassing the glass altogether! lol

Opening scene: click on the door where your cursor becomes a hand. this takes you a bit closer. click again and you're at the door. Go left.
take star candle holder from chair.
look under chair and take the stick.
Back at the view of the door, go right.
click on the box on the table, then click on the portrait of Abe Lincoln. This is a clue for the pw for the box. An obscure clue, but a clue nonetheless. (SPOILER below)
enter the pw in the box and take the door key.
Back up and use the door key on the door and enter a new room.
Get your clicking finger ready, because you're going to need it now!
And now, compliments of @roberto, "go to right. Click just to left of yellow arrow over the wood. When you get the view inside the sauna, click left side of yellow arrow just over the wood again and you get a view to pick up the match."
And from @Clee, "I was able to get into the sauna using the directions above. Just follow them as there are two views to get through after the first one. And it still isn't easy to do, even with great directions!
I found that clicking to the right of the yellow arrow when facing the wall just outside the sauna did the trick. Then click left of the arrow when facing the sauna. Whatever works for you!
Take the %$^$(& match!
Now, backup and go to the black cabinet to the right of the tub (I clicked on the white box on top of the cabinet to get there).
Click on the white box on top of the cabinet again to get a closer view.
Click on the cabinet door to the left of the yellow arrow to get a view of the cabinet doors.
Click on the cabinet door knob and take the bottle of wine and corkscrew. Even if the vintage on this bottle of wine is "yesterday," it will taste pretty darn good after all the trouble you went through to get it.
But first, you need a wineglass.
Facing the tub, go left to the scene with the fruit.
Next, click right and you'll be facing the sofa (I know this makes no sense, but just wait. It gets even stranger!)
Take the wineglass from the sofa table.
Now, click on the wine bottle and corkscrew in your inventory and hit the "+" so it appears in the "about item" box.
Click on the corkscrew to place it atop the bottle.
Click on the cork to open the bottle. You'll have a close-up of the top of the bottle.
Click on the bottle again to back up and see the entire bottle.
Click on the wineglass and then on the "+" to get a view of it in the "about item" area.
Now click the wine bottle in the inventory to pour the wine. You may have to do this multiple times before it works.
Now guzzle the whole bottle of wine, because you've earned it!
Clickety-Click Through, Part II
ReplyDeleteWith the wineglass in the "about item" window, highlight the stick and hit the glass with it (I had to click on the glass at the base of the bowl, near the stem) and, voila! it turns into a ring! A beautiful emerald ring with a red stone!
OK, you should still be facing the sofa. Go left and click on the white table with the lamp in the background. Take the jewel box (it has a flower on top) and note the colored letters on the table. It looks like the letters spell FRUIT.
Still in this view, go right for a view of the dressing table flanked by two black candles on the wall. Take the silver box from the table.
Highlight the silver box in the "about item" area and click on it many times. It will turn into a candle. Seriously. There's no way I could make this stuff up!
Highlight the matchstick and click near the wooden end of the stick to see the magic on/off button. Click on this button and you will have a burning match (you can also turn it off this way, then back on if you so desire).
Next, highlight the star candle holder and click to open the little door in the middle of it. Place the candle inside and then light the candle with the burning match.
You should still be in the close-up of the dressing table (and you can still see the jewel box on the white table, even though it is now in your inventory, lol). Back up twice, then click on the tub, then go left.
You should now be looking at the pink bed/seat/throne. Click the lower side of the bed and highlight the stick and use it to poke around under the bed until you get the white heart-shaped box.
Now, go back to the view of the sofa where you found the wineglass. Click on the white cushion just to the right of the lamp for a close-up view. Now you'll see a little red head popping up just on the right of the lamp table. It's Santa!
Click on santa and highlight him in the "about item" window, then click on the star with the lit candle inside (be sure the little door on the star is closed and the whole thing is glowing).
Santa takes the star! Click on Santa with Star a few times and he'll come up with a key with a blue stone.
Take the key, go through the door back to the original hallway, and use the key on the white door at the end of the hall.
YOU'RE OUT!
And all that work you did to get the wine and the wineglass and open it and pour it (not to mention drinking it!) to get the ruby/emerald ring? Pointless. And all the things you had to go through to get the jewel box and trying to solve the FRUIT code? No rhyme or reason. Oh, well, on to other games!

@Zoz great and funny walkthrough for a very hard game to write one for. Wonderful job! I got the code myself and found a couple of things, but I ended up following your walkthrough exactly. This game had some killer hotspots!

ReplyDeleteThis was one of the most hideous pixely games I've ever played. Doesn't help that the stage size is so small. I can't get the wine glass filled up and DAYYUM do I need it. I'll try this for 5 minutes more but if I can't get the booze with the +, the game window is gonna get an X.
