ReplyDeleteFor level 12, it's pure math variable substitution. The first clue: the answer is a* t** b*****. The second clue: But t** b***** is w****. Just substitute the variable.

But like Ruff and Bigtank said, the riddle seems to be broken.
When you fill in the correct answer it goes to the new level for a split second and then 'not found'.

It isn't the one starting with F, but the one starting with T (and I don't mean 'the').
St... That is the one i have tried several times. Even encrypting it with the cipher. So it's not working for you either? Maybe it's not the answer? I also tried the name of the person who originally said that and tried to find the code of the person who said it. That riddle was created by B.... F....

ReplyDeleteYou must be using the wrong cipher.. Did you view the page source to find a clue? Once you find the clue go to purple hell and find the right cipher to use..

Yep it does that since half a year or something like that, but it seems it can't be changed back anymore. Lot of complaints about that didn't help.
Anyway, what I do with games with more than 200 comments is the first page open in one tab (to post) and the newest page open in another tab (to read).

I do find it odd 1054... I was partially wondering if they somehow put the wrong year on their forum. It was just odd that all the posts were august 2005... It is September now... So part of me wonders if it was actually August 2011, but probably not.

Nope, just kidding. Not sure if Jon knew this was an old riddle. And if he did he just posted it because he thought it was a fun riddle.
EG24 always posts the latest escape games, but it wasn't really a site with riddle games. So in the early days no riddles were posted.
Well, I emailed the guy who made the riddle. Hopefully he will get back to me soon and let me know either way if he will fix it or not. Keep checking in, I will let you guys know what he says if/when he replies.

I'm pretty sure the answer t******* to level 15 is correct because it proceeds to the META Refresh page before jumping to the error page. Posted on Nordinho last night but no answer yet.
ReplyDeleteJust some tips to share with you about reading source of META Refresh page without hitting Esc. I use Firefox. In the Options menu, click Advance tab, then check the "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page" and save setting. Whenever the page calls for a META Refresh, it will just stop there and wait for you to press the "allow" button. This enables you to check source before it's redirected to a new page.
Well the riddle seems to be back online now. Sorry for posting an old game but I liked the look of it. I am always looking for games to post and if they haven't been posted before at EG24 then I post them. Again, sorry for not warning that it was made in 2005.

I don't think it will get sorted out. You can't even register on the best riddle forums anymore. Also I don't think the creator uses the same email anymore. I emailed him about it but it didn't get received. 5 years is a pretty long time. The creator was about 17 or 18 when it was made. Now he is 22 or 23. Probably at a different stage in life ya know? Anyway, I noticed that the original best riddle wasn't posted here. Someone should submit that one so we can try again and hope it's not broken in the middle...
