  8. Well, I'm stuck too.
    3 "milestones" as follows:

-Same as Puzzled, I'm a bit puzzled (bwahaha) about the Yellow 21..... hint, which does not yet help me at all.

-Plus, that box in the turquoise-colored cupboard always tells me that I haven't yet checked the hint.

-Third, I wonder if I missed something important up to this point?
Probably it must have something to do with the note that appears to show a brick with a thick red ring around it.
I think I had a little "Escape from Sea" overdose and now I'm trying to find a loose brick or tile everywhere (LOL).

  10. For the eye chart: hint said 221121, each line on the chart have a pair (means same symbol) and one different, so "2" means using the pair symbol and "1" using the single symbol.
For number showing with light off, but only when you close the panel under the yellow tile shelf (where you used the T-bone). You will get "H -L " when panel is open

    ReplyDelete
  11. Thanks polly, the eye chart made sense now,
and for the a link that worked.

Used mirror on balls for number/colour clue
    And out with happy end.

    36 hours later......

    ReplyDelete
  12. polly that was awesome (again!)

Indeed it will bring the numbers back when you CLOSE the panel again (that's probably the reason why you can still move the colored balls back and forth)

  13. many thanks @Polly for the working link... finally i can play it... but first i have to go... lol...

  14. Walkthrough - Part1

Get the game to load – thanks to Polly

I take little credit for this, I have merely amalgamated playing the game using tips from miles1, Alice and S-T – here goes:

First up, press the yellow button bottom left and change the language to English mode.

Turn right and move into the exit door – once in, turn left and turn the light off. Once off, turn left and note the numbers down – top left 6 and 2, bottom left 8 and 7, top right 4 and 1, bottom right 5 and 3.

Turn light back on and start investigating the room. There is a yellow bin next to the sofa that has two bits of paper in – the first has an H to L clue and the second rules about how to use a secret door that we will discover later.

In the same view, you will see a device on the wall that appears to have balls on it – zoom in and press it – it opens a color code box to the right of the telly. Go and turn the light off again and turn left – you will see another H to L symbol appears on the screen above the telly. This apparently means that you can now solve the colour code box – I still can’t work out why, but the code is White, Blue, Yellow, Black, Green, Red – Alice provided that one. This opens the box top right of telly with a hexagonal hole.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Walkthrough - Part 2

Look at the plant – there is a screwdriver in the pot. Look under the sofa cushions and find a coin and a water bottle. Look on the screen in the corner between the blue cupboards and the plant (with a lot of C’s on it) – to the left of this is a button that lights up the screen that you need to press – also on the screen is a key. Collect this key and it will let you in to the red “fate conversion box”.

Open red conversion box, put coin in, let it show you a scene where it then dispenses an utterly irrelevant ball. Zoom back and open the lower door to the red box and take the hint card and die.

The hint card relates to the die. Also about item the die and notice the red lines around the numbers – this is the answer to the cupboard with blue doors. Hard to describe, but when you see the clues etc, I think its straight forward, but if not, assume that the cupboard doors are, as you look at them, top door, 1 to 4 in the middle from left to right and bottom door (this helps with the explanation below – it does not relate to the numbers on the die).

Open in this order – 1 (red ball object – signifies 1 on the die) – then 4, bottom, top, 2 and finally 3 – final cupboard has a bag of cement in it. If that didn’t make any sense, then apologies.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Walkthrough - Part 3

About item the water bottle and add the cement to it.

Now back to the strange device with coloured balls on it – look at it and you will see that there is a “t-bar” making up part of it and if you zoom in on the correct place, it is held in by a screw. Use SD on this and get the t-bar. Add t-bar to water bottle with cement in and you have a key for the hexagonal hole top right of the telly – use it in there.

In a cut scene, this lifts a bookcase and provides the view of a secret door. Back to the blue cabinet and behind the top cupboard door, there is a second coin. Collect and use in the red box again and get the next hint card - note that it syas yellow – useful later, but for now – zoom on it, flip it over and get the hint 221121. This hint refers to the C’s on the screen. Imagine the gap in a normal C is at 3 0’clock – then on the screen, on the first line, you will see that there are two C’s at 3 o’clock, on the second line, two C’s at 3 0’clock, third line, 1 C at 12 o’clock and so on.

Back out to the blue cupboard again, top shelf on the right, is a device that you can click 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock – use the clue and click in correct order, which is 3, 3, 12, 9, 6, 9 – click middle thereafter, get coin and use in red box again.

This time it gives you a plate – about item the plate, flip it over and see yet another coin below it. Use coin in red box again (once again ignoring the balls that it spits out) and you get a key. This key will open the vent below the light switch where you can collect a steamed bun.

Now this bit is a little tortuous, but remember the bit of paper for the yellow bin that had a 5 step program on it? Now its useful. Got to the scret door – zoom in and rip the paper – zoom out and knock on the door (step 1).

    ReplyDelete
  17. Walkthrough - Part 4 (and final part)

A hole appears where you tore the paper – zoom in and you can see and eye peeping at you (step 2). You can also now zoom in at the bottom of the door and see a mark on the floor where you can place the bowl and the paper that you ripped off the door that is described as an amulet. Place the bowl, about item the bun and put the amulet inside it. Place the bun on the bowl, step back, knock on door again – cut scene, an arm comes out and takes the bun and leaves the door open. If you don’t put the amulet in the bun, the door doesn’t get left open – but you have an endless bun supply.

Progress into next room and collect hand mirror and camera from the stairs – also note the printer that you can’t yet use.

Back to the original room and use the camera on the four yellow squares on the shelves either side of the telly (the ones that had numbers on why back at the start when we first turned the lights out).

Back to the second room, and put the camera in the printer – turn the strange thing on the left to yellow (way back from the second hint card) and set the number to 2 (took 2 photos). Press print and collect the two photos.
The photos show maths symbols – so back to the start, top left were 6 and 2 and the symbol is divide – so answer is 3. Apply the same to each and you will have an order in which to press the buttons by the exit door (BL, BR, TL, TR) – press set, turn to door, open and you are out.

Still don’t understand what the H to L clue was and no idea what the mirror we collected on the stairs was for.

  18. and someone please tell me the relevance of the coloured balls and the mirror - happy end I assume

  23. great work everyone!

now I've run into a huge problem...

placed amulet (aka charm) inside bun, but now I can't place bun on dish! Dish will always flip around a dozen times but not "accept" the bun.

    ReplyDelete
  24. POP ... ah you need to place empty dish on floor spot, then place the bun onto it.
I won't delete this post as it may help other players that run into the same odd "issue."

  25. APPENDIX FOR HAPPY END

    thanks @small-tool

    - after pressing the buttons at the exit door, don't leave!
    - now zoom on the mirror, click it and retrieve another coin
    - go to conversion box, insert coin and zoom on the four balls
    - wait a few seconds and numbers appear
    - take PAPER OF FORTUNE from lower part of conversion box
    - go to the buttons right of exit door again
    - combine the numbers of balls with fortune paper
    - press the buttons from 1-4 (BL, TR, BR, TL)
    - press set and take amulet
    - now you can leave with happy ending

  26. addendum for the H<-L hint "from low to high"

you have to interpret "low" as "least distance from ground level" and "high" as "most distance from ground level", thus going from the lowermost color to the uppermost one.

ATTENTION: to understand the clue, you have to have white at the bottom, which might not be the case as the whole device can rotate.

    ReplyDelete
  27. thanks for the walkthrough, helped alot, got to be out with the bunny waving at me!!! the person on the other side of the door was creepy!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Addendum to arbeitsloser's addendum:
When you click the device once so that the panel opens, you can clearly see a metal "H" at the top, and a metal "L" at the bottom.
Once you've removed the t-bar with the screwdriver you will have also removed the left part of the "H".
ThIs seemed an obvious indication that "H" meant high, and "L" meant low, especially after seeing the "L -> H" clue on the blue screen.

As for the die [singular form of dice, for non-english speakers]:
When you zoom in on it in your inventory, you can see red lines along SOME of the edges.
If you have good enough visuo-spatial awareness you have enough cues to draw a flat, opened die, using the red lines as the open edges.
This is confirmed by the red ball in the first cupboard [showing where the number 1 is], and from the hint card which says something about red and edges. I can't remember what that said exactly, because I played a while ago, and it was a clue I didn't need because I'd already worked it out.

    Thanks to Polly...
    "Try this link:

I managed to play, but can't this working link be added at the top with the game post? Yalçın? =D

This is a really good game, with only one problem of having to restart if you don't see the camera clue first, so it's a big shame that people seem to have voted it a bad game just because they couldn't play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. P.S., I forgot to say that the numbers on the die are exactly relevant to the order for opening the doors, in case anyone doesn't "get" my explanation. =)

    ReplyDelete
  30. @Rookwings: I agree completely with your previous comment (especially about the votes), except for one thing:
you don't have to restart if you haven't seen the camera clue first. just rotate the the color device again, switch off the lights and now you can see the camera clue and press the buttons...so no bug.

    ReplyDelete
  31. hi rook,
    long time no see... :-D

    Addendum to your addendum, lol:
you can see the numbers for the shapes to photograph even IN the game - the slot panel, where you have used the t-bar-bottle must be CLOSED before you turn off the light, so no need to restart...!

  34. Came back and was still pretty stuck --
Going through the Walkthrough (thanks, @Manic202)
I discover that the piece of paper I have lying on the floor and can't pick up is supposed to be an "amulet". Arggh!! Starting over.

    ReplyDelete
  35. POP! Didn't need to restart -- you can pick it up in the view where you're looking at the dish! (stated in the WT, but I missed that step.

Thanks to S-T for the Happy Ending! By the time I get that door open, I'm usually thrilled to be out and forget that there is still something to do!

  40. Die stuff:

I never bothered about that, though I was aware the die outline stuff had to do with the cupboard.
After some trying around (and getting an idea how the mechanism works) you can get it open with no problems without ever taking the die as a guide.
(However, do have to look at it once, to prevent the game from telling you "I'm missing a hint to solve this")

    ReplyDelete
  41. Brilliant, you two [Miller and premiere [[nice to see you too, by the way!]] =D ]
I didn't realise that, but I was so delighted at understanding the puzzles so fast, my logic sort of went out the window when I couldn't find that clue. I played before reading comments, so I had no idea about using the light switch twice anyway - I happened upon that by accident after restarting =D.
Hey, you lot! I only got the "happy" ending.
How do I get the others????

    To arbeitslooser:
Sorry I misspelled your name before, and I never even BREATHE without my trusty notepad =) =) =)

    ReplyDelete
  42. rookwings,
I only got one other ending (the bloody hands one - eeek!):
got thru exit door BEFORE you take out the coin from mirror, put it in red game box for colour hint on paper etc.

    ReplyDelete

And to all the Addendum-adders...big thanks as well.

  45. I feel soooo ripped off! 2 days I waited to play this and then, because I didn't turn off the light and look at the squares on the shelves BEFORE seeing the H <-- L clue I was not able to finish and exit. So I started over and my game crashed!
What kind of game hinges on one clue that you have to see but that you can't see unless you stumble on it first?!? It's not as if the TV clue would have blocked the numbers. Just sayin'.

@Manic202, thanks for posting a great WT! Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out why I couldn't see the numbers you kept talking about until I started over and looked there first.

    Damn, I'm feeling cranky!

    ReplyDelete
  46. it looks like it will take me a week to play this. lol

    ReplyDelete
  47. @zoz -- you CAN see those numbers without restarting the game. Take the T-bar/bottle out of the mechanism, then turn the wheel with colored balls. See
    polly 10/11/11 3:04 AM.

polly also posted a link yesterday that does work (and has been repeated several times above.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I can see why zoz is "cranky" about it, because if I hadn't restarted and played slightly differently I would never have dreamt of using the switch twice, unless I'd gone a bit mad and was trying everything twice after resetting all mechanisms.
There didn't seem to be a hint to do this, either, which is possibly a bit unlike Hilgreed.
The Hilgreed games I've played are usually really helpful and hintful.
Randomness? Perhaps HE'S feeling cranky too? =S

Thank you people for posting the working link.
The posted ones at the top of the game are still the "broken" ones....
    - YYYYYYAAAAALLLLLLLçın ! ! ! !

    ReplyDelete
  49. lol @rookwings...it works fine now =) well, for me the link is okay---> hooray!!!

Aaandd..thanks to all of you for the hints and wt's..couldn't make it without it :))

    ReplyDelete
  50. @Rookwings don't bother...

It's actually no name I had ever wanted to use in comments /forums. But unlike in Spanish forum, you MUST have an account to post at all, and my Google one was the only one I had, and my pretty Yahoo one was not supported! (BLAH!) I have no livejournal (so that people can spy me out??), nor wordpress, nor Open ID.

But guys if you support a whopping 5 account types, and even the rare AIM (which has become a thing of the past) please also support Yahoo accounts! As heaps of people are in Yahoo Answers or Yahoo Messenger, this may be way important than to support near-ancient AIM!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Finally, I could load this game today ! And what a disappointment ! Too difficult, with very vague hints... Even with the WT I couldn't do it (the round box where we use the C hints doesn't want to give me a coin), I've given up.

    ReplyDelete
  52. excellent game that made me feel dumb. thanks for the walkthrough!

  53. Cannot find the hex key hole for the t-bar + Bottle to open bookcase. WT says above Telly but I cannot find it.

  54. did nobody ever want to go up to the 2nd floor? I thought the Good Ending would let me. Very frustrating...

    ReplyDelete
  55. Monkeybelly,
(if you'll have a peek later...)
maybe you didn't solve the colour puzzle first, the hex key hole is behind it... you have to turn the colour ball device to open the panel

    eli,
I think that there's really no way to go up to the 2nd floor (leastwise I didn't find that kind of ending)...

    ReplyDelete
  56. UPDATE TIME!

New version (S.02) from the author (apparently no in-game changes, but just loads WAY faster now)

There's also a geocities (JP) mirror now, but I'd hesitate to post it, since it may be taken down again at Oct 16 (Japan time)!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Excellent game....

the 221121 clue held me up the most as well as some of the locations of the coins. It just never occurred to me to click a cupboard again or to associate the ball color order with the color order on the fortune paper in order to get the amulet. Another one that held me up was the order in which to do the math. No one mentioned that in order to get the number order from the plates, that you had to work from Left to Right or do both top shelves first, starting with the Left side and then the bottom shelves, again, starting with the left side.

Maybe I'm just a miser for details, but I find that it helps with computing.

And, yes, the H & L do stand for High and Low.

Special thanks to Polly for explaining the 221121 clue. It made total sense! Gold star for you!
