    ReplyDelete
  5. Oh Zoz, this could be epic!

found a sheet of music upstairs

still trying to get my bearings, wandering around

    ReplyDelete
  6. ok, loaded now. I'm going to go for normal mode as well. Maybe I'll be out by Friday that way.

    ReplyDelete
  7. toothpaste on floor in bathroom off porch

    ReplyDelete
  8. wait, isn't normal mode the old game??? Maybe I'll try "sequel". Gas mode is a mystery to me!

    ReplyDelete
  9. red building block fragment in starry night room

    ReplyDelete
  11. hmmmm, seems i can't play anything but normal mode

    ReplyDelete
  12. ok, I guess I have to complete normal mode before going on to others. Plunging in now.
@Jo-Ann, just so you know, everyone enters at a different place!
I seem to have entered in the 1F Green Single room and can't seem to set the clock to get the right password. Maybe this isn't the same after all???

    ReplyDelete
  13. @Zoz, it looks like the old game but I suspect different!

green building block piece in locker room 2F and need a tap

white key upstairs in gallery in urn

    ReplyDelete
  14. whaaaaah! I'm still stuck in the 1F Green Single room! Where oh where is Xenon when we really need him? As I recall, kitkatfox and Zazie were really good with the first game as well.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Gosh Zoz, I can't even find the green room!

I at least can wander around the house a bit but am stuck with a white key that opens nothing!

    ReplyDelete
  16. @Jo-Ann, the Green Room is on the first floor. Click on the map in the upper right corner for a schematic of the floors. As I recall, you can also tell which room which key opens by looking at the Map. I'm still stuck!

    ReplyDelete
  17. @zoz I found the map function and can see that my white key opens a door behind a blue key...which I don't have

I remember this game taking days last time... looks like it will again

    ReplyDelete
  18. ok, I wimped out and restarted. This time I'm in the 1F Bathroom just off the porch.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Got the toothpaste! I must be starting where you did, @Jo-Ann!

    ReplyDelete
  20. yay!! I didn't start there but can move there so we are on equal ground!

and I am very very stuck

    ReplyDelete
  21. OK, got blue key and wooden box with sword in 1F Dining room. Also saw a green star symbol (different for every game I think) on the table and got a red puzzle piece beside the table.

    ReplyDelete
  22. @Jo-Ann, click all around the 1F DR, especially over in the corner past the TV. Where did you find the White Key?

    ReplyDelete
  23. OMG I found a blue key!!!!!!

look beside the tv in 1F dining room

    ReplyDelete
  24. white key is on third floor in art room

    ReplyDelete
  25. the blue key will get you out of the DR into the hall with the clock. Also, there's a fuschia building block in the 1F Art Room.

This is my all time favorite game! I'm loving this!

    ReplyDelete
  26. can't find anything by the table... will look again

    placed music sheet on piano

    ReplyDelete
  27. OK, from the hallway with the clock you can go up the stairs. The two BR there can be entered with the White Key (I don't have yet) but the doorway into the Office complex is accessible with the Blue Key. Then you use the Sword to access the 2F Reception Room

    ReplyDelete
  28. found the green room and the purple room with the dream girl

    ReplyDelete
  29. @Jo-Ann, the puzzle piece locations may vary from game to game...

    ReplyDelete
  30. haha in the pink room listening to the cd!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yay-yah! Got Brown Key and my first Power Diamond from the far side of the couch in the 2F Reception Room.

    ReplyDelete
  32. have second sword from pink master bedroom

    perfume from blue master bedroom

this is all so familiar, but I have forgotten most of it

    ReplyDelete
  33. just found those too zoz!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Brown Key got me through the room just outside the 2F Reception Room. Once you go through the next door you can't go back, but if you have a Power Diamond you can lift the cinder block wall and get past it.

    ReplyDelete
  35. blue square by coffee pot in 2F dining room

    ReplyDelete
  36. oh NOOOOOOO my adobe crashed!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Noooo, get it back! I think the game autosaves.... I'll hold my breath for you! When you come back, if you go from the 2F Hallway to the 2F Store Room you can go up to the 3F Recreation Room and get the orange key.

    ReplyDelete
  38. no auto save :( frantically replaying and finding new building block pieces!

    ReplyDelete
  39. oh, I think there's a clue on the 3F Rec Room pool table for the clock puzzle I couldn't solve in the 1F Green Single Room. And that's accessible with the Orange Key. Headiing there now...

    ReplyDelete
  40. @Jo-Ann you can save your game using the disk icon below the inventory.

    ReplyDelete
  41. thank you saving game as I go now!

I tried the pool table clue on the puzzle in the green room. got a sound but it said password incorrect? not seeing anything happen

    ReplyDelete
  42. I also had no luck on the pool table / clock. I don't know why there are 3 VI on the clock. Did you use the Orange Key to meet Xiaoqi yet? When we went out into the hall I opted to accept her help. I remember the games go in different directions depending on how you answer her question.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I did meet her but said no to her help... did she help you? I am thinking I may need to ask for it

    ReplyDelete
  44. she gave me a puzzle piece, which I think might be used in the kitchen, but not sure. did you get the paper when you were in the 3F Art Room? If not, I can tell you how to get it. Going to use my White Key now...

    ReplyDelete
  45. Hi Jax!

No I didn't get the paper in 3F art room

    ReplyDelete
  46. opened the secret bathroom into the reception room by placing the second sword and moving the cabinet

    got a blue power cord

    ReplyDelete
  47. I remember something about the cd and tv in the pink master bedroom moving and getting into a crawl space behind...

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hi @Jax, and welcome!
For the paper in the 3F Art Room, click on the pictures and answer "Yes" in the order of their longevity - start with mouse and work up to dragon.
In the Pink BR, you can take the sword, then exchange it for the one you used to open the 2F Reception Room. Once you put the alternate sword in place, you can move the cabinet and get into the 2F Reception Room Bathroom and get a Blue Power cord and unlock the door from that side.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Oh, and once you have moved the cabinet in the Pink BR, you can no longer get through the door from the Hallway. You have to go through that bathroom and move the cabinet back.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Thaanks guys, but i am going round in circles here, will try agen sometime later. G/L

    ReplyDelete
  51. listening to Jackie Cheung CD now. As I recall, you have to listen to something like 5 repetitions to get in that room!

    ReplyDelete
  52. While I'm listening, I think the perfume bottle is used by the Van Gogh painting in the 1F Art Room. I just haven't gotten there yet.

    ReplyDelete
  53. @Jax, if you search for Dream House you can go back and read the WTs, which will make it much easier to muck through!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Oh I forgot about the perfume bottle!

there is a calendar in the blue master room with hints on it that I can not figure out now

I may have to head to bed soon, getting too late for me!

    ReplyDelete
  55. OMG just checked original -- it had over 1500 comments. And this is supposed to be harder?!
    Will give a try ...

    ReplyDelete
  56. @Jo-Ann, I think the calendar ties in with the symbols on the back of the squares (like the blue one from the coffee maker) to give a number. Then I think that has something to do with the Atomic Table and then that's all used for the first floor puzzle to get into the room under the kitchen?
Anyway, I've listened to Jackie Cheung 6 times now and haven't gotten anywhere, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  57. ok sprayed the perfume on the van gogh painting, turned out hte lights and got a number clue.

I am off to bed though, I am just too tired

good luck Zoz! I am saving my game and will pick it up later!

    ReplyDelete
  58. yay! Xiaoqi came through with a Pink Power Diamond!

    ReplyDelete
  59. I'm totally lost -- in a hallway with music paper and a pink "E".

    ReplyDelete
  60. Backed up to rec room (3-F)and found orange key on table, also a "password box.
Now to find the orange key door again.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Orange key takes me to stair way -- up to room I started in (3F-gallery)

    ReplyDelete
  62. Finally found my way to first floor and got toothpaste, but am WAY behind

    ReplyDelete
  63. @Puzzled in CA, as much as I HATE to abandon this game, it's 3am here and I really can't go on. If you get really stuck, kitkatfox wrote a fantastic WT for the original Dream House, which you can find by searching this site. There are some important differences, but at least that WT will get you through some rough spots.
I guess when I come back tomorrow, there will be hundreds more comments! (Did I mention that this is the best game EVAAAAAAHHHHH?!? )

    ReplyDelete
  64. It took me 4 days to complete the first game....this one is harder??? Oh gee....I am going to need coffee...

    ReplyDelete
  65. @zoz and @Joann - Just finally got close to caught up to where you were when I started. Thanks for the helpful tips (like how to view the map).

    To anyone else starting
-- As zoz mentions, each player starts in a different place
-- Learn to use the map -- the arrow shows which way you're facing
-- Each room has a floor designation and name in upper left
-- Some doors are one-way so you can't always get back the way you came
-- Take screenshots of hints like the calendar (you still have to note the what the blue symbols are that you hover over). Saves a lot of backtracking.

  66. Code on van-gogh painting (see Jo-ann's note above) gets you through electronic door to 2f-office

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  72. ok so far i have a red building block, green building block, password box, orange key and white key...so many rooms, getting confused lol

    ReplyDelete
  73. pause the vcd at the tunnel screen, to be able to pass trough got the red key

    ReplyDelete
  74. @ Brogettenks is it the old vdc player? do you need to use a remote?

    ReplyDelete
  75. old vcd player in 2F-Pink master room. You need cd from 3F

    ReplyDelete
  76. this looks like the old one. I cant find any keys where do you look

    ReplyDelete
  77. Use diamond to power the small elevator in 2F-Office, cd was up there for me

    ReplyDelete
  78. Well this will keep us busy til Anair gets back, I miss his games.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Officially stuck.
    Items i have:
Power Line, toothpaste, blue & red square, flashlight, password box, crowbar, 2nd diamond, toilet brush, sprayer, equation & strange images paper, red & cyan & yellow & green shape and the red key for inaccessible 3F door

    ReplyDelete
  80. funny thing is that the 2nd diamond cant be placed anywhere >.>

    ReplyDelete
  81. Brogettenks: did you get the red key?? How?

    ReplyDelete
  82. i think red key is from passing through the tunnel shown in the vcd. The girl helped cause i couldnt reach it.

    ReplyDelete
  83. by accident i found another pattern like the star in 1F. Shape is a yellow sun in the 2F-locker room to the right of the door

    ReplyDelete
  84. how are you finding these things, i only got 3 blocks and cant find any keys

    ReplyDelete
  85. Use the tooth paste on the toilet brush...
And use this brush int 1F Store Room. You will get an other code. But I dont know where to use this code...

    ReplyDelete
  86. Brogettenks: Im here, I paused the vcd at the 2nd photo, but the girl dont help me... :(

    ReplyDelete
  87. i think its the third pic, and you have to pause it when the screen is clear (no static)
then click in the black of the tunnel

    ReplyDelete
  88. omg - Help Zoz...which order for paintings in ART GALLERY...your hint doesnt help from mouse to dragon??

    ReplyDelete
  89. lol y havent i thought about it earlier.
Blue master room bathroom has a code input device, but its inaccessible as long as the marble door (powered with the battery) is up. Close the hatch to see the input from the bathroom side. Code used here is the one Szilvia mentioned with the brush.

    ReplyDelete
  90. art room painting order i think is mouse, rabbit, cat, human, turtle, dragon

    ReplyDelete
  91. Future hint: traveling can be shut-off with the same code

    ReplyDelete
  92. 1F-Guest room have three squares but dont know the order >.>

    ReplyDelete
  93. I have played this game before at least the one in normal mode

    ReplyDelete
  94. ok this does not bode well. just spent ten minutes deciding which mode to play in

    ReplyDelete
  95. I'm very very lost in this game ! I found and used the blue, white and orange keys. I also found 2 swords, a codebox, a cyan block, a yellow block, a green block, a part of a pink block, some toothpaste, a paper with equations (according to the calendars, the 2 numbers are 14 and 15 ?!), a blue piece of puzzle (from the girl). The girl also played the piano and it opened a door. I found a 6 digits code with the perfume on Van Gogh's painting, but it doesn't work anywhere. I found and used a CD in room 2F (pink master room), I can see Jackie Cheung, but the CD won't start.
I tried to use the hint from the pool on the "clock", but nothing happened. And what about the clock in the main hall downstairs ? And what about... so many things ?...

    ReplyDelete
  96. One of the swords can be used in 2F - Hallway of the office area.

    ReplyDelete
  97. ... but that's quite useless, since I don't have a coin for the phone or a cyan key for the other exit...

    ReplyDelete
  98. @pdgph where did u find the pink block?

Iron sword goes in hand where you took the golden one and the golden goes at the "T" besides the door at the 2F hall

    ReplyDelete
  99. @pdgph code is used for the keypad behind the 2F wall

    ReplyDelete
  100. @Brogettenks,
    Thank you !
I'm afraid I don't remember where the part of the pink block was, I'm sorry.
I'm going to find the place where I can use the iron sword (I don't remember where I found the golden one, either...) and the 6 digit-code.

    ReplyDelete
  101. WHAT?!?!?! I saved my game last night but there is no game to load! Seems you can NOT close the game without losing it

I have to start fresh but sadly no time this morning....

    :(

    ReplyDelete
  102. you found the golden from the arm that was holding it. 2F Pink Master room

    ReplyDelete
  103. @Jo-Ann set storage use to unlimited. That fixed it for me

    ReplyDelete
  104. @brogettenks where do I do that? Sorry, not very computer savy

    ReplyDelete
  105. Right click in the game window, select "settings" and then "local storage".

    ReplyDelete
  106. Haaa!
Found the 4digit code for password box. You need the red marker

    ReplyDelete
  107. Finally, I'm in the bathroom of the reception room (hidden behind the cupboard of the pink master room). I pick up a cable and exited in the reception room. Stuck again...

    ReplyDelete
  108. Thank you @Brogettenks!

Unfortunately I have to restart, but now I can save! Yay!

will be back later to play

    ReplyDelete
  109. 3diamonds now and stuck again

    ReplyDelete
  110. did you already use the sprayer??

    ReplyDelete
  111. sprayer is supposed to be mixed with coffee first, and since i havent found any coffee yet

    ReplyDelete
  112. ok, got partially caught up and saved....

note to everyone else, it says right there on the save screen to set your local storage to unlimited.... sheesh feeling dumb now! lol

    thanks again @brogettenks!

    ReplyDelete
  113. tried to bruteforce grandfather clock but no luck

    ReplyDelete
  114. for some reason i took the musical score from the piano and cannot place it back. Atleast the door it unlocked didnt lock again

    ReplyDelete
  115. Pink piece is in the room where you found the girl; next to the one with the colored clock

    ReplyDelete
  116. whats the code for the phone?

    ReplyDelete
  117. from the diary you read that it is the birthday of his wife.

    SP0O4IL2E3R

    ReplyDelete
  118. Brogttenks - so...where's the red marker?

    ReplyDelete
  119. Thanks! I tried 0414 and 0418...

    ReplyDelete
  120. Red Marker
2F-Hallway of the Office Area, but not at present time

    ReplyDelete
  121. my english is not perfect....

    ReplyDelete
  122. @Szilvia- basically in the diary he says that he can celebrate his wive's birthday in the next Tuesday; the date log of that page is April 18th Thursday

    ReplyDelete
  123. Yes, finally I've understood, when I read it again....

Me too stuck... I've an other code from the past... but cant use it..

    ReplyDelete
  124. 2378, from the office room, but u can also find it in the present.... use the red pin...

    ReplyDelete
  125. Do you use the red pen in today's time or 10 days ago - and where do you use it? It just scribbles all over the red man on the wall in the computer room....

    ReplyDelete
  126. In the 10 days ago mode, you need a "wood" key to open the door in the pool room...

Still need the "green" key for door next to piano, and the cyan key for two places

    ReplyDelete
  127. I used it at the present at the lower right corner. code is for password box

    ReplyDelete
  128. its not important past or present.... use it in the office on the bottom right corner of the table.

    ReplyDelete
  129. OMG!!! why I didnt think about the box.... istenem!!

    ReplyDelete
  130. Szilvia - thanks! I used it on the bottom right of the picture, not a table....but I got the code for the box and another diamond. Have 3 now.

    ReplyDelete
  131. yes, you're right, Zoe! its not table. sorry!

    ReplyDelete
  132. Finally...found the green key.

    ReplyDelete
  133. You have to move the grey brick wall back down to first floor level - the one where you used a diamond so that it could be moved up. Then go back up to 2F via other stairway near the outside porch door - turn around and the brick wall is removed. Go into the room straight ahead (don't take the right hand door - you'll have to start over) and the green key is in plain view on the coffee table. Also, plug the cord you've been holding on for a while into the piano and it plays a familiar song.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I also found a crumpled up piece of paper in the hallway there, when highlighted it turns into a musical score.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Oh IC. seems i had opened that door >.>
ty anyway. Missing cyan and purple now also coffee for sprayer

    ReplyDelete
  136. Now I need a purple key and another code after going into the green key room...whew this game is long!!!

    ReplyDelete
  137. help Please
cant move Cabinet in pink Bedroom
switched the swords million times...cannot move cabinet??
    what to do

    ReplyDelete
  138. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Cabin can be moved to the right if you place the iron sword in the hand.

    ReplyDelete
  140. I cant move the wall to the first floor... The wall is moving between the 2nd and the 3rd floor.. At the moment, the wall is on the 3rd floor. If If move it down (to the 2nd floor), i can just go the office, and us elevator, I will be stuck...

    ReplyDelete
  141. To move the cabin back you have to lower the marble piece in the hallway (coatroom area) and go back to that bathroom and punch in a code on the other side of the marble piece. I think that code was 58115....

    ReplyDelete
  142. i dont think wall can go to the 1st floor, only 2nd and 3rd.

When you go the past you can make one door to be a 2-way access. Either the one in the Office or the one pf the Dining Room next to the Office's door. This way you can move freely

    ReplyDelete
  143. Szilvia - I am terribly sorry - I meant to move the brick wall from the third floor to the second floor. I think you've alaready done that. I'm behind, so maybe I should stop posting. I'm probably confusing everyone...

    ReplyDelete
  144. TY again Brogette...TYTYTY

    ReplyDelete
  145. Attention!

Codes do differ from game to game and thus you cant share (exception is the wife's birthday) also unless you do something to learn the code ingame you cant use it; so bruteforcing wont work

    ReplyDelete
  146. I am sooo lost, dont find toiletbrush... dont find anything
    where to use blue cord?
i think i dont like this game, confuses too much - lol

    ReplyDelete
  147. Sry dont remember where toilet brush was, cord is used with the second piano at 3F.
And yes this game is a pixelhunt

    ReplyDelete

  149. Acckkk! need to move the wall down and still exit the hallway....

gosh I know I played this before but stuck anyways!

    ReplyDelete
  150. in the past, i cant go in the Dining room...
I think there is something i dont understand or i miss or... i dont know...
    I'm lost..

    ReplyDelete
  151. I have the flashlight, but no battery for it... anyone know where the battery is?

    ReplyDelete
  152. Dining room is accessible from the door next to the Office.

Battery is in the yellow square on the wall at 1F (dont remember name but its the room next to the grandfather clock), you need a yellow square piece to place there

    ReplyDelete
  153. Also if you forgot the pass for the 2F-Office you ca n still unlock its door from the inside using the manholes to get yourself there.

    ReplyDelete
  154. if I move down the wall i cant exit the the halfway of the office area. I go in the office, not in the dining room. From the office i can go up to the Den of Lounge... And thats all... I cant go around the wall...

    ReplyDelete
  155. -At the past-
In the office there is a working computer, by inputting the password (found at the back of the cabin) you can change the function of just one of the one-way pass doors (Dining Room or Main Office) this will allow you to move around the closed wall.

    ReplyDelete
  156. No, i cant go in the dining from the office. I just can exit from the dinig room to te office... Its one-way..

    ReplyDelete

  160. well, I'm back, but like Jo-Ann, I had to start over! Now I think I've got my settings right and I'm back in business.

    ReplyDelete
  161. the building blocks seem to be in different places according to the game you're playing. I just found the blue one in the 2F Hallway outside the coat closet

    ReplyDelete
  162. oh and don't forget to look left of the stairs when facing the clock. In this game, I found a Building Block there, whereas last night there was nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  163. zoz - if you started out in the coat room, you're playing the version that I started playing about 3 hours ago.

    ReplyDelete
  164. I still haven't solved both clocks - the hallway one and the one in the green single room 1F.

    ReplyDelete
  165. I think the toilet brush was in the bathroom of the 2F blue master room. You have to place something int the cloatroom (i think) to pass from here to the bathroom and open the door to the Blue master...

So sorry, a cant see the green kay on the coffe table. I see a coffe maker and a toaster...

    ReplyDelete
  166. The green key opened the door to the right of the piano on the first floor. Have you done that yet? In that room you need a purple key and a code for the brown door after you place the three tiles into the code panel.

    ReplyDelete
  167. I'm trying to figure out what that code for the brown door is after I got into the green key room. Can't find any hints for it, and I've used up all the codes I've found around the house...

    ReplyDelete
  168. Zoe: yes, this room was opened. The girl opened for me after playing the piano on the first floor... Yes, in this room i need a purple key, and a code with 3 tiles (i have 2)

I think, I looked for the green key unnecessarly???!!!

    and stuck again!

    ReplyDelete
  169. there is a japanese sign on the side of each tile. Maybe we have to compare with the calendar...

And on the calender there are the signs identicals withe the patterns (sun, mountain, star, and moon (i didnt find yet the moon)

    ReplyDelete
  170. *on the OTHER side of tiles...

    ReplyDelete
  171. When I compared the japanese signs on the tiles with the calendar I got dates. I think maybe the tiles go from the earliest date to the latest? But I still don't have a code to enter, even my thinking is correct...

    ReplyDelete
  172. I have to go away for about an hour - hopefully when I come back you geniuses will have figured it all out!!! Really, you are all quite brilliant with your clues and hints!!!

    ReplyDelete
  173. I dont know the order and the 3rd square

    ReplyDelete
  174. I know the clock!!

  175. The tiles have symbols on the back that correspond to dates on the calendar - for example my Egg tile = 25. Take the letter of the alphabet that corresponds to the number - so in my case Egg = 25 = Y. If you Google the periodic table of the elements, you'll find the elements and their atomic weights - Egg = 25 = Y = 39. You can use this information to place the tiles and open the brown door when in the Green Key room.

  176. @Szilvia, how did you come up with the clock

    ReplyDelete
  177. Thank you!
where did you find the Egg tile?

    ReplyDelete
  178. for the clock: go up the lounge room (3rd floor). Light the fireplace. A sheet music will be appeared. Place your sheet on this sheet on the wall. It will show you 2 arrows with numbers...

    ReplyDelete
  179. @zoz, based on their weight you decide which is placed first? or alse how?

    ReplyDelete
  180. use the crowbar where u found the red key (behind the old VCD), get the lighter and u know the rest :)

    ReplyDelete
  181. huh :(. Cant find the spot to use the crowbar

    ReplyDelete
  182. the placement doesn't matter, but enter the numbers in the opposite order that you placed the tiles. I haven't gotten there yet and I didn't realize there are four tiles. I hope this still works!
Still no clue about the Tao symbols or the Clock in the 1F Green Single Room

    ReplyDelete
  183. when u got the red key u made a hole in the wall. There u can see a yellow thing, This is the lighter. Use the crowbar on this hole.

but at first: can you go behind the VCD? (2F pink maser room)

    ReplyDelete
  184. oh, and the clue for the tile placement is on a piece of paper on a chair in the Green Key room

    ReplyDelete
  185. I'm missing fragments of some of the building blocks (this is different from the previous game) and I seem to have two silver medals rather than one silver and one gold and one bronze. I also got all four tiles, but only used Bone, Egg, and Bulb to get to secret room. Not sure what Tree tile is for.
    Anyone have any hints?

  187. Zoz: where is the 3rd tile? I've: tree and bone

    ReplyDelete
  188. When I got the red key, I didn't make a hole in the wall - it was just laying on the floor and I had the crow bar highlighted to get it. I can go back to the place where it was, but can't find the lighter. Any clues on where I have to click to get it? T

  189. I just found the lower fragment of the fuchsia building block by using my sword on the space in the 1F Stairwell after taking the battery. Still looking for one Red fragment and both Cyan and Yellow building blocks.
And I STILL can't get the durned Clock password in the 1F Green Single Room!

    ReplyDelete
  190. @Szilvia, there is a yellow Egg tile on the floor of the 1F Stairwell to the left of the picture you move to place the Rat tile. It's just below the Mountain drawing and is very hard to see because it's almost the same color as the carpet. There's also a Bulb tile, but I can't remember where I got it.

@Zoe, you can get the lighter from the Girl once you find her in the Secret Room (after going through the Green Key room)
