  1. Click click click... nothing... I'm totally stuck after having used the red and green keys, and found the yellow jewel.

    ReplyDelete
  2. MUST have been a tough one, since least of you realized that we've already exceeded 200 posts...wow!

    (And that's a SD game, not a Gatamari ;))

    ReplyDelete
  3. thanks for all your help everyone - when I refreshed all my notes got wiped so not going to be much help to anyone just joining!

    ReplyDelete
  4. @Zoe - I also use Chrome and I was able to refresh the game twice, once for the map and a second time for the green disk fix. I just hit F5 to refresh the page and select Play once it reloads.

    ReplyDelete
  5. gmm: Yes I tried that too. I hit F5 to refresh but nothing happened. It did not go the the Play page. I tried it many times because F5 always works to refresh in other games and here in the comments. It just didn't work in the game. Oh well. Not SD's fault!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I refreshed, the game didn't save, played again, placed all disks, still no crystal ball. I wanted to finish too!

    ReplyDelete
  7. because of the hot weather i cant find anything but the red key and 2 parts of disc....so,how about an WT??? :d

    ReplyDelete
  8. yvonne - at least I know it's not working for someone else - lol!!

But all that aside, it's not selfdefiant's fault that it doesn't work, so I'm not putting any blame there. This is still a fantastic game and lots of fun! Giving my usual five stars!!

  10. Where is the flashlight/torch?

    ReplyDelete
  11. I have 3 parts of the disk. Can't find bottom piece. Can someone help me out, please?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Still can't get gem order... looking at the clue in AE until my vision goes blurry but still can't seem to connect it all up.

    ReplyDelete
  13. unknown all my notes got lost when I refreshed but I think it was on the bed in Z.

    ReplyDelete
  14. So what was the 7 number box code?? Self Defiant, maybe you could advise us? Like all have said above, we didn't need it, but curiosity has got the best of me. Great game, very challenging! Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  15. escapism said : Blue gem in R, use hint from book in T...but the book is in S,if anybody wonder :D or maybe there is a book in T and not only a sticker??

    ReplyDelete
  16. The box was wrong, it's now fixed. A=1,B=2

    ReplyDelete
  17. no book is indeed in S, it is likely that escapism wrote that before the map was updated

    ReplyDelete
  18. and out... too late to get the box to open though I'm afraid. Gem order was not so tricky after all

    ReplyDelete
  19. hmmm, I just played, saw SD's comment about fixing the box, refreshed and went back to room L. 8949259 does indeed open the box. But there is nothing in it???!!! Is this a red herring?
Great game, but that box almost drove me crazier than I already was!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Have refreshed, but 8949259 does not open box in L. Nor does 8949529. :(

    ReplyDelete
  21. After trying again and again 8949529 does work on box in L. But there's nothing in ti.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Is anyone here? If so can you tell me do gems go on necklace, and where is necklace?

    ReplyDelete
  23. oops, my bad! It should be 8949529 - my post above is wrong. But still, there nothing in the box?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Nothing in box. All that trouble for nothing :(

    ReplyDelete
  25. @Escapista, I can't remember the room letter, but I'm sure it's posted above somewhere. On the left of the scene is a fireplace with a mantel, and on the mantel something that looks like a feather. Click on the feather to see the necklace. Then place the gems according to the scheme on the ceiling in AE(? not sure about the room letter again). Start with Blue and end with Orange.

    ReplyDelete
  26. great game, finally got there with a little help from everyone here :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. I can't find the silver key in J...

    ReplyDelete
  28. Thank you SD...certainly was worth the wait!

    ReplyDelete
  29. SD - if you still happen to read so late - the only problem I had was the book buttons - it seems the left one does not click. (I did the pills/dial first like it said.)

    ReplyDelete
  30. I cant find the silver key in room J. I used the crowbar and got a piece of something and now the crowbars gone from my inventory. Can anyone help?

    ReplyDelete
  31. never mind I found it in room I using the clue found in room J

    ReplyDelete
  32. excellent SD, a bit late to join in but looking for to it

    ReplyDelete
  33. Can't someone put up a walkthrough clarifying where we are supposed to find some of these things? I can't find the freaking silver key no matter what I try, and nothing anyone has posted here is of any help whatsoever. The only clear places are for keys I can't even reach without the silver one first!

*attempts to refrain from ripping hair out of head*

    ReplyDelete
  34. Never mind! Took a little "creative reading" to find the answer. (Thanks @Jenasaurus-rex for that one)

    Room L = silver key.

    ReplyDelete
  35. @Layla happy to help =) I nearly gave up when I couldnt find the silver key XD

    ReplyDelete
  36. Same here. I was definitely going cross-eyed for a LONG time...

    ReplyDelete
  37. *head-desk*

And now I'm stuck on the freaking dials...

    *head-desk* *sigh*

    ReplyDelete
  38. POP

    *head-desk* I'm just an idiot who can't count to 5... *face-palm*
I think I need to get to sleep before 4:00 A.M. tonight...

    ReplyDelete
  39. Finally! Success! *collapses from exhaustion in a corner and melts*

    ReplyDelete
  40. Thank you, zoz. It was in room U.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I just played the game and it was perfect! Everything worked and I didn't have to use any help. And the music was really nice. It was a nice ending for a working day...
    Thank you Selfdefiant!

  43. The music is horrible. I am loading Applewood and let run Empty Asylum as music in another tab. :-(

I love almost all and am I waiting excited for every new game, but the last one's are making me nervous...

    ReplyDelete
  44. I need help!! The silver key is NOT in J when I play the game - that just gives a piece to go on the disk. I also can't find it in room L since I can't figure out the key to the box! Any advice?

    ReplyDelete
  45. does anyone know where the purple key is? I read the comments that it is in J and to use the crow bar, however all I got was a piece of the disk...

    ReplyDelete
  46. For me there was a panel in J where i used crowbar. Maybe the room letter has changed after SD fixed the bug with the map. In any case it is a big empty room with a fireplace in the middle at the wall and right of it was the panel.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I read my older comment : Purple key in T behind flag. I don´t know if the room letter is still the same.

    ReplyDelete
  48. And silver key was in panel right of this fireplace, use crowbar there.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Had to go but just came back and finished the game. It's a good'un. Only needed help with two things - unusual for me! Thanks to those who helped and thanks for fixing the map!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Oh and I would have been driven mad by the number box if I hadn't seen someone else say they were out without opening it. Definite thanks for that!

    ReplyDelete
  51. this is the best of the series i guess .. but following the clues given got me nowhere ! instead of getting a silver key using crowbar i got a yellow gem !!! wonder if everyone's game is different .. will come back at it later anyway !!

    ReplyDelete
  52. where's the last piece of the disk? I read there should be one in U but if so, where? Have all the rest.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Please anyone help me.
on the book I press the dots in order of the clock handles, but nothing happens.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Press Buttons :
    RDRUDL

Now i must sleep, good luck !

    ReplyDelete
  55. Tatiana, the clue for the buttons is on the dresser in room U. Or you can just use Zazie's spoiler.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Thank you Self Defiant for another fun game. I've really missed these.

    ReplyDelete
  57. the silver key is in the box in L .. clue in J ( A=1 ... ) !!

    ReplyDelete
  58. So this changed definitely ! Because the box was empty when we all got out at first. And for me the silver key was in the panel right of fireplace, no kidding !

    ReplyDelete
  59. Must be a new Sneaky trap to change places of items while people are playing loooll

    ReplyDelete
  60. I press the bottons in orden of the clock handles but nothin happen. HELP ME.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I refreshed and found the place to use hammer! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  65. Thanks so much SD!! You're the best by far X

    ReplyDelete
  66. Man, there is a whole lot of ass-kissing going on here for one of the buggiest games on EG24 in months. I like SD games, but there isn't any excuse for not beta testing your games before putting them out for public use. There just isn't.

  69. Oh, there's happy little bill chinery again. Always ready to add some cheer to a free game by THE best game author of ALL TIME!!! So there was a little problem with the map. SD gamers know that SD will always fix the glitches. Other game authors don't even bother to listen to us, so please keep the positive aspects of SD games in your perspective, bill chinery.

    ReplyDelete
  70. wikz kerr - WOW excellent WT!!! Thanks so much for posting. I think future players of this game will thank you because of the comments in the beginning not matching the map.

It's interesting to note that SD began making these games without a map, and we had to make up our own. By including a map in his games, he made it more fun and less frustrating. So we all must forgive that there was a mistake in this game.

    ReplyDelete
  71. One of my teachers that I cherished told me this:

"Erasers were invented for a reason - man will always need some kind of eraser (ie, "delete key" and "undo" etc) to get through life because we are human and will always make mistakes."

    ReplyDelete
  72. man will always need an eraser and will never get it i guess !

    ReplyDelete
  73. Any other game with this many errors would be a rating of one. Just because it's a SD game doesn't make it a good game. It's not. If the rating displayed the actual quality of the game, he might take more time to recheck them and the might then actually be worth the rating he gets.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Hey , if anybody is out there....I can't find the silver key. I'm new and these games are all I've been doing since I was laid up. If I can't find this key , I'm gunna freak. Please help!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Luin, I had no problems with my game. It was challenging and fun. It was as good as any of SD's other games. I'd give it a 5-star rating.

BTW did anyone find 50 orbs? I played the game twice and still could only find 49.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Sam, the silver key is in the 7-number box in room L.

    ReplyDelete
  77. not because it's an SD at all but it is a 5 stars game n 5 stars performance by SD himself fixing the glitch live !!

  80. Thank you Selfdefiant, I love your games! This one was GREAT!

    ReplyDelete
  81. I also could only find 49 orbs. Played through a second time and still couldn't find that last one.

    ReplyDelete
  82. gmm, thanks. I'm in good company then.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Just played through and everything worked. If you want these glitch-free then just wait a few days for the bugs to be worked out by the volunteer beta-testers, our SD fans that can't help themselves and enjoy helping to untwist the little errors. Or buy a game. Games you buy are beta-tested for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  84. If you want to find a clue in the posts after there have been a lot of them, click - Ctrl f - you will get a little box at the bottom left of your screen and some up and down arrows. Type a key word in the box, and it will be highlighted in the text. Eg, silver key. Click on the arrows to go to the next or previous ones. Mind you, with the map confusion here at the beginning, that might be a little tricky, but at least you'll have less to read!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Where is silver key? ZAZIE posted at 7:49 use crowbar in J for silver key. I used Crowbar in J and got a piece of the disc and the crowbar disappeared. Stuck like Chuck.

    ReplyDelete
  86. can someone ANYONE, please assist me! I cannot access room B from C at all! I started the game after all the fixes were done, so surely the link should have loaded the correct game? I have refreshed about 5 times now, and even started a NEW game, but still cannot get to Room B. Suggestions?

    ReplyDelete
  87. Rachel, you need the crystal ball to get to room B.

    ReplyDelete
  88. @ Clodagh - wow thats a great advice: the search function!! Didnt know.
    TY for that!
I played and finished right now. Everything went fine: 7 letter box with silver key, using crowbar in room withe clue HIDIEBI
    No probs here

  91. How come a SD game only has 3 stars??? I thought it was great - as usual

    ReplyDelete
  92. Soozn, the 3 star rating might be because of some bugs in the first version. Now that I replayed it all is fine and it gets a 5-star rating from me.

  98. I agree with Zoe on Bill Chinnery... SD is a great game creator... and what does he get for it? I have a hard, but fun, time playing... and I could never create one... So hush your mouth Bill... No one says you 'have' to play.
Happy Day to you all.. I know this note is a day late and probably no one will see it.. but I just wanted to say thank you SD! Diane

    ReplyDelete
  99. I loved the new twists I(like using the crystal ball to get to room B). Nice variation on the usual Asylum framework.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Nobody kisses asses as bill chinery said,we don't pay for these games,so nobody cheetes us,the most of the players like these games, especially SD's.If you are not a possitive people, all the games are full of problems, like life's games. My advice to all these people is DON'T PLAY if you don't like them.Thank you Selfdefiant, thank Ainars, thank all the creators who give us all these games.

    ReplyDelete
  101. i'm confused with AE order. Which is the right gem order?

    ReplyDelete
  102. haha roula ! well said ! for me the game was pure fun and i even did not struggle with the map. i tried to keep in my mind where things were. cool challenge. keep going on SD, i love your games !!!
(i even don´t want them compare with others wich are pure s***)

    ReplyDelete
  103. Gem order :
from left upper side counter clockwise:
    BPuGYRO

    N8 all

    ReplyDelete
  104. Thank you Zazie, you are a blessing. I couldn't get the gem order for anything, I feel rather dumb at the moment. ;)

Thank you SD for yet another wonderful game

    ReplyDelete
  105. Ohh i even did not think that you are still around, happy that i could help you. I must sleep now, bye bye Strega (isn´t it an italian drink ?) Cu soon !

    ReplyDelete
  106. the crowbar gave me a piece of the green plate in J, not the silver key. so where is the silver key?

    ReplyDelete
  107. diad (Diane?): Thanks for your support. I've seen bill chinery's comments on a lot of games, including Ainars and others, and there is NEVER a single time that he has anything good to say. It's always a criticism. Once when I responded to him, another player chided me and said that Mr. Chinery has a right to his opinion. That's true, however, his opinion is always negative. I agree with you that he doesn't "have" to play, but nevertheless, he continues to do so and then trash the games out. He apparently is one of those persons who has a perpetual chip on his shoulder and has to let everyone around him know it. Sorry if this sounds negative on my part, but enough is enough, already!

    ReplyDelete
  108. ... or u can simply press F3 @clodagh ! ;-)

    @zazie didnt know u r a liquor expert ! cool ! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  109. I would implore ANYBODY posting on these wonderful games to double check your input for accuracy. The stress of beating your head into a wall trying to find a solution is compounded to the nth degree when someone offers "HELP" that is not accurate, ie ZAZIE at 7;49 with the silver key in J mis-info. Wasted 20 minutes of my life. I know how exciting this all is to be the first to post this or that and be everyone's hero, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be sure to get it right. Not to pick on ZAZIE because it happens frequently by many who post. My blood pressure is high enough without the assist! Thanks for reading this far.

    ReplyDelete
  115. well i told u it wasnt her mistake !! it was SD's mistake and he fixed it later .. she wasnt supposed to delete all her comments which were true at the time , was she ??

    ReplyDelete
  116. Thanks E Addict for setting me straight. Glitches happen, yet the post is still there. D'oh! I'm pretty much a dork and should be the last person telling any one else what to do!

    ReplyDelete
  117. Peace out dog, our comments crossed. Truly though, people just starting this puzzle are reading comments posted before the bugs worked out. Why are they still posted? Honest question.

  119. Thanks for the clues everyone..Good game SD. I like the new usage of the crystal ball.

    ReplyDelete
  120. I think Bill Chinnery is a serial keeler of games or he is a spy from another site.Maybe is better for him to watch TV.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I really can't understand why all this anger and bad attitude. Probably, there are people - I think you all understand who I'm talking about - who are really shut in a real assylum, and trying to play... Saying "thank you" to a person who offers so beatifull games, is not an ass kissing, it's just been polite... Selfdefiant is the nr.1 game maker, and I think that most of all here agree with this. Now, as Roula said, nobody HAS to play. If someone doesn't like it, he can just not play. Or maybe he should try to really escape from his real assylum.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I also have to add that I agree with Zoe and Zazie too.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Wow - great game SD - thanks!

  126. hey SD, the PREPI box type puzzles do not work on my iPad! Plz could u fix the bug? I use Swifter as my conversion platform. TY reina nijinsky

    ReplyDelete
  127. Thanks also to Zazie for helping us find the knife. I still wish that anyone who posted before the bugs were worked out would remove their old comment. New players are joining in all the time. PLEASE remove comments that are no longer valid to the current players! I do respect the efforts, certainly, Bugs in the game are expected, and we and the developer work them out. There is, however, no excuse for leaving bugs in the COMMENTS to lead the newbies to unwarranted aggravation. Please take the time to remove posts that deal with issues which have been resolved. Thanks to all!

    ReplyDelete
  128. I replayed the game again after "bugs" fixed. it went much more smoothly, but I had to leave and come back and oh noooo, all my notes I had made on the map were gone.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Wenmomojo: when the bugs are that grave, the game should not be posted. And, it's not up to the players to edit their comments, chances are - when finished - they don't come back here. A small note in the intro in bold red typeface to alert new players where to start reading the comments shouldn't be too hard to add and much more effective.

  132. Been lurking for many years and love Selfdefiant games but this one has me stymied. Have restarted three times but each time I return I still get a jade piece from the wood panel instead of a silver key. Thoughts?

    ReplyDelete
  133. POP, nevermind, but for the record my jade pieces disappeared the first two times I played.

  134. Where is the fourth piece of something? I have the one in the morgue, the one on the TVs and the one on the picture.

  135. I cannot fnd the 4th tile >,<

  136. I am having an issues with the chest of drawers. How do I get the Jewelry?

  137. Done! The 4th escape game for today, the 1st one we couldn't beat without the walkthrough. Were stuck at the book buttons and pills :)

Thank you so much, Selfdefiant! You are certainly one of my favourite game authors, now that my fiance is playing with me it's going to be even more fun to play! I hope one day we'll catch a live one :)

By the way, zoz told us about a feather with a necklace in one of the comments. I suppose it's not a feather but the white rose from the note itself :)

  138. Played this one again a month later. I don't remember if anyone commented on this, but these were the sharpest, most vibrant images of any Asylum game I've played (except it was still really hard to find the knife ;) ). Congratulations on the new level of resolution.
