ReplyDeleteNo stick for me ?????
ReplyDeleteAlan, you need a hammer to get the stick.
ReplyDeleteI see the word "Sesame", but still cant open the safe, i will soon be bald. LOL
ReplyDeleteAlan, click on the letters in th bottom left corner. You'll get a pop up where you select the letter --- much better than having to click all the way through the alphabet - well done on this idea.
ReplyDeletePS you have to click on the safe to get the letters to come up.
ReplyDeleteDid that Soonz, but cant get the safe to open, ive tried different words, still cant get it open, but hey its earls sunday morning. LOL
ReplyDeleteAlan: did you click 'Try' after putting in sesame?
ReplyDeleteGood luck and have a lot of fun, people...
ReplyDeleteWhat? Doesn't everyone have a battery operated tv? :P
ReplyDeleteThanks, Shuchun for posting. I appreciate it and glad the game got some laughs at least :)
ReplyDeleteShort but fun.
ReplyDeletethat was a nice game =)
ReplyDeleteThat was fun. Took me a minute to realize you have to leave the scene for the button/items to disappear.
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed. The author made this with DF's construction kit (analogous to the Quill for text adventure games in Speccy/C64 era in the 80s) and it got a better rating I'd ever dreamed of.
ReplyDeleteAnd a better rating than some so-.called "professionally done" games.
Crazy world. =D
have 6 green light and 1 key cant do anything
ReplyDeletenvm got it out thanks for all your help a good game
ReplyDeletehave 6 green light and 1 key cant do anything
ReplyDelete@arbeitslooser: it rated a whole lot better than I expected too! :)
ReplyDeletecrap game when all u get is a black screen grrrrrrr
ReplyDeleteAn Escape game maker?? Really? Heheh.. now just wait guys, because I'll be releasing my 1st game soon! lol
ReplyDeleteWoow @nini!! that would be great ;-)
ReplyDeleteGame deserves the rating it is getting. It isn't the "same old" stuff, it incorporates new (and good!) ideas, most notably the letter selection interface, which is awesome btw, and apart from a couple minor quirks that oen would expect from a new game maker using a simple game generator, it is very playable. A bit short and simple perhaps, but that is not necessarily always a bad thing. I would take short and simple over long and buggy any day of the week.

ReplyDeleteHey, the author himself! Welcome aboard =D
Didn't know you were "eavesdropping" :P
@bill chinery
There is one DISTINCT difference, for a starter:
These games must be cutting-edge, just by the fact that they're not based on a 15-year-old technology (Flash) but on HTML5. (in case anyone noticed :))
The author herself, even :) I'm always here, I just rarely post and wasn't expecting to have this game picked up. Ever. Thanks for all the comments. The compliments kind of blew me away a little and the good and bad criticisms are welcome.
ReplyDeleteMost of the cool bits (like the digit selection interface) just come with the game maker but it was a lot of fun to play with. Waiting to see if they will develop a way to incorporate better puzzles into the games - I'd kill for an "if" statement :D
@Nooms
ReplyDeleteOh, a "developeress"? (stupid word, but that's why I love it :P)
Nice design, Mylady! :)
Above all we're gonna need those ZOOMED VIEWS. As far as I could see, this is not yet supported in current beta. So at the stage the Maker is now, you cannot hide papers in sneaky spots like behind a cabinet.
(er no, better NOT behind a small safe on the floor, since Escape Cafe (a Japanese person) uses this "trick" in 149 out of 150 (mini-)games. Ah yes, and possible also a lighter to unveil a code on a "blank" paper;))
@Nooms: I lol'd at the tv part but just like I do in other games when I see a refrigerator with a 4-digit lock code or rooms where you smash all kind of things to finally find a key for the door... when you could simply open/break one of those windows it has and escape. It's part of the fun of playing these games!!! Because who doesn't have at home an oven that opens with a code given by the number of leaves your plant has at the moment? Good job, Noons, really, and thanks for the fun. c:
ReplyDeletethanks @Nooms - nice little game :)
ReplyDeleteIt maybe short but I prefer it to an Ainars game
ReplyDeleteGood work Nooms
Thanks all :)
ReplyDeleteMy SESAME only worked when I clicked the A as well - if one just leaves the A as it is- the safe does not open
ReplyDeletegood game ...
ReplyDeleteHi, I am playing in Firefox. It's the second time I am trying to play but it stops at the same spot: when I've hit desk with hammer, hammer disappears and a piece of wood appears under desk which I cannot pick up. There is also a red gem by right chair which I cannot pick up and there is nothing I can do with the lights. Can anyone help me please?
