ReplyDeleteHmmm, it seems some people can get the brown sword and others can't. I'm not going to restart, but maybe you have to give the crackers to the parrot first to get it.
ReplyDeletebrown sword diappeared, clicked on something on lower left, it disappeared....reloaded game, thing in lower left was a scroll.... used feather on map, got yellow sword, but scroll diappeared.....I'm outta here
ReplyDeleteThe trick to not get the bug with not being able to pick up (or disappearing) yellow sword is to first pick up the scroll/map from the very bottom left and to look at that. It shows you, you have to use the feather on the map on the table.
ReplyDeleteWithout seeing that scroll you can use the feather but you get the bug, with first taking and looking at that scroll, no problem at all.

ReplyDeleteHad to click and triple-click items to pick up. Couldn't get sword in drawer; it disappeared upon backing out and re-entering drawer scene.. I quit.
ReplyDeleteI have the 3 swords and the crown. I have the 3 crackers. All I need to do is to pry the 3 jewels loose and put them on the treasure chest. I have done everything else. But the parrot will not take the crackers, and it appears you have to get the code from the parrot before the swords will work on the jewels. This game sucks; it's too buggy.
ReplyDeleteRead SmallTool's post at 7.04 - that's what worked for me and I had no bug problems. You have to get the scroll from the bottom left and read it before you do anything else.

ReplyDeleteIt's not bug. To get the brown sword, you have to get the map from the corner in the bottom and check the map.

ReplyDeleteNo, IT WAS a bug which now has been fixed!
ReplyDeleteIt is also a bug if you skip a step and the game gets stuck! That must not happen.
This impossible situation is no more there now. So the quill is IMMOBILE (it must be!) until you've seen the scroll.
However, to play the fixed version, you'll have to play the game off the official site and NOT from EG24 which still hosts the old version:
