  1. it was that damn big E that got me.

  2. In addition, some "untold rules"
    - zero should not be used
    - every dial should have (point to) a different value.
    - the remaining 2 unsolved dials ("d" and the main dial -with numbers-) were solved by trial and error.
    - Important, note the uppercase E in the last row of page 6, which should be taken as a value, not as one of the dials.

  3. I'm back and wow!
Someone actually solved it nice! We were on the right track after all.

    ReplyDelete
  4. So either a=35 b=10 c=15 d=unknown e=20 f=25 or a=35 b=10 c=15 d=unknown e=25 f=30....

    ReplyDelete
  5. Yep, D is 20 and the bottom is 5, use the second set i posted

    ReplyDelete
  6. so i'm doing something wrong..
i'm putting the 4 known lowercase numbers to the right dials,
so besides to 15 locked one, i got 5 or 20 to trial, right?

if so, what else do i have to do?

    ReplyDelete
  7. @Guest, take a look at row 4:

    e=E+C = E+15
and since A is already = 5, then E can only be 10.

Let´s just assume no symbol should repeat values.

  8. ok, got it..
wow, that was very frustrating and i shouda solved it myself :(

    ReplyDelete
  9. Hehehe closed my browser.. restarting!! D:

    ReplyDelete
  10. haha, I accidentally found the 3 digit code to go back. I have no idea how to get to it but I can spoil if anyone wants to RE it?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Well maybe if we use the numbers on the wall;..

    ReplyDelete
  12. you have to search carefully up some ladders until you find a bix with the same symbols as C3 and finish solving the numbers

    ReplyDelete
  13. ha ha OMG so many new puzzles!
now to read the book again

    ReplyDelete
  14. lol! no need to bf the symbols ! we already have the answer

    ReplyDelete
  15. BUT we need the 3-dig code 1st so we can go back to the C3 puzzle

    ReplyDelete
  16. @Nini - you don't need that.
if you wrote the numbers down, you just keep the numerical sequence with the options you got. that was easy.
    wait till the last puzzles.

    ReplyDelete
  17. @rozroz. but but!! Those numbers are a result from bfing.. ! I cannot consider myself "out" if I don't propperly solve everything xD

    ReplyDelete
  18. numbers from C3 are 32,43,55,68

    ReplyDelete
  19. It's a sequence +11 + 12 +13...

    ReplyDelete
  20. after activating all the new symbols machines,
i'm overwhelmed with all those numbers!!!!

    any clues yet?

    ReplyDelete
  21. oops! Should have refreshed sooner! Now for the last puzzle (Too bad we skipped the 3-dig code :S)

    ReplyDelete
  22. writing down all the number combos...
    that's a lot of work!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Tried highlighting number 2 on C2, number 3 on C3 and so on, but doesn't work.

    ReplyDelete
  24. After checking 2/6, maybe we need the "odd" one. For example> the sum lower than 3 digits.

    ReplyDelete
  25. numbers looks totally random..
maybe pick the ones that are straight rows ? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  26. I thought about that @rozroz.. but do all of them have straight rows?

    ReplyDelete
  27. no they haven't ;)
    that was too easy.

    ReplyDelete
  28. i don't think he would prepare all those number just for a trick.

    ReplyDelete
  29. >_< gtg guys I'll check it later. Good luck!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Oh, you did manage to solve these FREAKING dials!
    Very well done!

    And...

Use arby's: http://oi60.tinypic.com/2d0nojm.jpg, but the last symbol is incorrect. I just cycled through the options on the 4th symbol and those numbers appeared.

Hrr hrr, "the last symbol is incorrect". Well, folks, you need to READ carefully! When I give you the correct symbol below, you will get a mush of pixels. Because ONCE you put in the correct symbol in the bottom, the morphing is triggered.
It would have been near-impossible to make a screenshot before the morphing AND with the correct symbol.

So that's why I said "CYCLE the last one yourself".

    ReplyDelete
  31. well now we have another freakin' numbers puzzle...

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yeah ... a very freakin' one.
With FOUR (!) choices EACH even. Oh boy.

    ReplyDelete
  33. i wrote all options yesterday and gave up after a long time.
couldn't find any patterns at all (but i'm bad at math).
i suspect it might have some other "hidden agenda" ;)
but still a 5 star excellent game and affort.

    ReplyDelete
  34. also stared at the patterns themselves, maybe they create some figures or letters.. doesn't seem so.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Well, I tried around with making sums of them, computing the cross total and even trying to multiply digits...to no avail.

Nor did I have any success with prime numbers (e. g. whose sum is also prime?).
    This is REALLY a toughie.

    ReplyDelete
  36. hmmm..
    there are 6 options..
maybe it has something to do with ONAMIS again?

  38. No :)

To cut a long story short, I'm finally out.
I might spill the beans later, when Nini has found time to rejoin the party here...

    HINT:
    - The two huge numbers on the wall downstairs ARE very important.
    - Also, ask yourself why this number is here and that number is there. There is some deeper sense behind all this.

    Happy puzzling :P

  39. Hi hi ! I'm back~~
TY arby for u hints, here's what I'm trying to do with them:

    Naming the symbol as per order on book. 1 2 3 4 5 6

Symbols 1 6 and 5 are on the 405 wall.
Symbols 3 2 and 4 are on the 247 wall

With all the triplets in hand now I'm trying to see which of them will add up to 405 or 247. I hope I'm on the right track ;)

    ReplyDelete
  40. 257 I mean sorry!

    And that was it Out!!
    ty arby and everyone else!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Maybe I'll try to solve that last puzzle.. the 3-dig code one...
    Wish me luck lol!

    ReplyDelete
  42. thanks arby! way to go!
just trying to figure out how to add them properly..
    and in what order :/

    ReplyDelete
  43. any hints for me?
can't figure out the triplets yet :(

    ReplyDelete
  44. Ermm.. @rozroz just do I told you in my previous post (1/27/15, 6:41 AM)
And maybe adding all the triplets 1st and THEN trying to get to 405/257 would work better ;)

    ReplyDelete
  45. BRAVO Nini!

I knew that even if my hints were not useful to anybody BUT you, they would help you to escape!

Well done girl! :) (as usual)
