Chapter 13
ReplyDeleteThe continuing saga about Jolly Boy and his friends James and Janice.
What an enlightening experience Jolly is having !
“Jolly! What’s happening?!” James and Janice come running into Jollys’ new restaurant.
“ I bzzam bzzztuck bzz!” Jolly cries out.
Help is needed.
James climbs up the counter and opens the panel to get a cone.
“Hang in there, Jolly ..” Janice cleans the counter. She takes the cold pasta and a bottle of wine.
“Care bzzz ful “ … one of the stools is a bit wobbly. When James climbs down a ring falls on the floor.
Janice takes the fork from the pizza, and stirs the coffee on the counter.
“Another ring!” They find all sorts of things, this is so encouraging.
“Look Janice, book-keeping at the wall behind the counter!”
“And a colour-code up left!”
This isn’t an easy escape.
“Jolly, we have to go to the kitchen now, hold on tight!”
James finds two bottles of water and examines one of them closely (about item).
“What’s on the label …?” In the meantime Janice takes another bottle of wine, and next to that … “James! Here’s the place for the rings. And there, coloured tin cans! Do you think ….?”
“Yep, no doubt about it, the safe up left.”
James runs back to Jolly and climbs up the counter again … a second cone.
They find the place for the cones, and some smiley's up on the wall.
“What’s with this red/green puzzle?” Janice looks puzzled.
James frowns his forehead … “I think the colours have to swap places, with pink staying in the middle area .. in that case, we need a green one!”
James and Janice walk into the storage room.
“Let’s help Jolly with new pasta’s as well, this one’s cold”. Janice picks up the trashbin and throws the pasta in it. She studies the signs on the plate.
“Good idea, let’s start with collecting some veggies!”
James puts a carrot, paprika and tomato in the inventory.
“What’s in the jerrycan?” Janice picks it up and notices a cone in there.
“How do we get it …”
“I know!” James shouts, “let’s empty our four bottles in it”.
What a good idea!
They open the jerrycan and sure enough, their third cone.
“Look at that safe on the wall .. what …”
ReplyDelete“Yes, the label, and the signs on the plate!” Janice puts both clues in.
“Only a key is needed now.”
“Do you remember the book-keeping program at the wall? Let’s count the ingredients on the floor.”
They run back to Jolly and put the numbers in. “A scale!”
“I bzz alwayzzz weigh my bzzz ingre bzzzz dientzz. Hurzzy.”
James and Janice put the carrot, paprika and tomato on the scale.
Janice runs back to the storage room and puts the kg in the wall safe.
Another ring!
They need three, and after placing them in the kitchen they find .. “a handle??”
James looks around in the kitchen, and yes, the handle fits on a blue cupboard.
The missing green button is in there!
James and Janice don’t really have a lot of patience, but they figure out the fastest way!
Green follows the line on top, red goes underneath …
“The key!” They scream together.
And in the safe in the storage room they find their last cone.
But oh … how disappointing … behind the cones they find a number.
“How do we use it?” Janice looks around.
“Perhaps it’s a riddle thing, you know : 4 is a ‘d’, 3 a ‘c’ ..” James loves those.
“Nope, not this time!” Janice found out the smiley's can be changed into numbers.
She finds a special looking knife.
“It’s used to cut open bags”. And the only bags they know off are in the storage room.
There’s the piece of wood they need.
James and Janice run back to the bzz-ing Jolly.
They hit Jollys’ hand with the wood and …. “zzigh .. zzank you both zzoo very muzzz”.
Jolly is still a bit bzizzy, but then he quickly runs to the kitchen and bakes the three of them a delizzziouzz pizzzza.
