  15. Tautatu - you don't have to "use" all the numbers/colours, just the ones that are represented by the buttons in the cupboard.

    ReplyDelete
  16. @wilyen, can't get the code. Only 4 color on shelf. No red and black.

    ReplyDelete

  19. Roberto, unfortunately I have to say you're more confusing than necessary today.
"top of counter"? That would mean ON TOP, even above the scale! (similar to top of cupboard, where you normally need steps for to reach up high)

I'm wondering why you didn't just describe the compartment in the shelf where the number is?

    @others
You have to pry off the wooden lid with a stiletto you will find if you inspect every location thoroughly.
The number is inside, and the numbers fixed on the drawer will tell you which numbers to strike out.

The figures left unstruck will form the number you need.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Do you put wing on swan?

    ReplyDelete
  30. HAHA that's a wing? Looked like a dust cloth to me ... LOL

Thanks tautau for the adding hint...

    ReplyDelete
  31. @ŧautau One part of cards (spade) is the dog, with the 4.
But where is the other number?
(I got the whole number but I'm still wondering here I overlooked the other spade card...)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Nevermind, got it!
Missed the two aces in the cabinet! (in this game, they got value 1 each, but they might as well be = 11; it depends on what you're playing with these cards)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Still confused about colours.

    SPOILER.

    Press...

    Black --- (ornament)
    Blue
    Yellow
    Red --- (polar bears hat!)
    White
    Green

  34. where do we have to pry to get the number hint ?

Is that number the one for the drawer under 9586 ? I don't understand the number needed.

I already get the color hint paper and have pressed buttons behind "window" next to door of the room (following paper on mirror and color in shelf)

    ReplyDelete
  35. this game is easy if you think like the developers and hard if (like me) you don't.
@arby, you saved me more than once. How about a WT?

    ReplyDelete
  36. @gre-nadine, use the pry-tool from the window on the box shape on the counter-top (see arby's hint above 9:34)

    ReplyDelete
  37. The red is the scarf worn by the polar bear. The black is the two ornaments top centre.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Where is the color hint? Someone said on the mirror, but I don't see anything. I'm so stuck!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Okay, finally watched the video walkthrough. Now I understand the hint in the closet. Check all of the drawers carefully--one is not empty as it first appears.

    ReplyDelete
  40. @zoz Thanks for the lovely words :) But you missed one tiny detail in gre-nadine's question...
where do we have to pry to get the number hint ?

Heh yeah, she asked WHERE, not "with which".
The location is directly below the bottom middle shelf compartment (quite a tad below the scale).

    ReplyDelete
  41. @arby, thanks for the clarification! Another reason why you should write the WT!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Yeah, I should, but I'll rather promise to write a WT for the next mammoth-size Gatamari! ;)
Because people are normally reluctant to put so much work into a WT.
However, to make me do that, they'll have to take the task of writing the WTs of all the short games ;)

  43. how to solve buttons puzzle?

    ReplyDelete
  44. I really think the clues in this one are obscure and subjective to the programmer of the game. The number clues were not obvious, nor is anything else and I'm going to have to give it up, as I'm not watching the video to solve every puzzle. Pity because the graphics are beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  45. @arby - Didn't understand your post. I said the clue flor numbered drawer was "on top of counter", and it's there after you pry the lid and not in a compartment in the shelf.

    ReplyDelete
  46. There is counter in front of shelf. Or not?

  47. Walkthrough, part 1:

Locked door, what a surprise! OK, let's check out those cabinets. Nothing to do with the left side one at the moment. Open the right side one, and pick up the pin. Clicking the 5 drawers below doesn't do anything, so it's probably a clue - note that the second one from the top is the only one that has two lines. Hmm, double bottom?

Back out and move right. Pretty swan. Let's zoom in on those windows now... pick up a key from the left one. Nothing on the right? But wait, what's that rectangle at the top? Zoom in even closer, and notice a 2 of hearts peeking out from the frame.

Back out, turn right. Cute, origami armchairs! That black spot on the right one... click to zoom in. Oh, it's an ace of clubs. Numbers cabinet, we'll get back to that later. Locked cabinet top middle, hey, we have a key, let's see... yup. There's 2 aces of spades, a 9 of diamonds , and a 3 of hearts. Take note, move on.

Oh, look, a 5-drawer cabinet, somehow familiar. The cards drawer won't open with the numbers I have so far, so I'll just keep looking for more cards. Meanwhile, about that second drawer from the top? Click to open, click again... right, double bottom, and now I have a note. Mirror writing, so I guess I'll be querying a mirror in a bit, not about my good looks though, that might complicate things.

Back out, there's the mirror. Hold up note, and it says:

    9 1 8
    5 7 2
    4 6 3

Hmm, okay. What else have we got here?

The right side shelves are nice, and there's a button floating in the lemon-water glass on the middle one. Of course, I always keep them there too. Because wet acidic buttons are great for short-circuiting electrical contraptions and blowing the whole place up!

Click through the left side shelves. Top left, pretty pebbles, but nothing of interest. Top middle, a 7 of clubs, noted. The next 4 shelves, nothing of interest. Bottom left, I'll let sleeping bears lie... right after I move it aside to find a 4 of spades first. Next, bottom middle. There's a compartment here, we don't have a screwdriver, but let's try that pin we've been carrying around... eh, more pins? Just what we need, if we're going to hold a sewing class or a voodoo session, I suppose, but I had other plans for the... but hold on, these are numbers! 79251864.

  49. Walkthrough, part 2:

OK, that's it, let's, um, deal, with that cards business. Add'em up, we had:

    7 + ace = 8 of clubs
    2 + 3 = 5 of hearts
    9 of diamonds
    2 aces + 4 = 6 of spades

... and we pick up a hammer. Yay violence! But first, those numbers are familiar. 79251864... let's turn back left to that numbers drawer. The top drawer, with the pre-entered numbers, opens, but it's empty. The bottom one has 4 numbers to fill in, and we have 8, but 4 of them already appear at the top, so let's try what's left over: 7214.

A crystal wing? Ouch. Back left to the swan. Madam, is this perchance yours? She quite brightens up, so I guess it is.

Now there's some stand under her pedestal, but that's not what the hammer is for, apparently. I have a bad feeling about this...

Well, time to head back left, to that left-side cabinet. There's the place for our white button, let's hope it dried meanwhile. In it goes. Kids, don't try this at home.

What have we got left? A mechanism of six operable colored buttons that has something to do with our swan (going by her pedestal design), and that 3-by-3 note, which reminds me of the big cabinet again. Let's head back there.

    9 1 8
    5 7 2
    4 6 3

So, "1" is top middle, there's a black item there. Next, "2", center right: cyan item. "3", bottom right: yellow. Then we have red, white, and green. The last three shelves are kinda baffling, color-wise, but there's only 6 buttons anyway, so why not go back to that mechanism and try what we already have first?

Okay. Enter the first 6 colors and... oh, look, the light stopped blinking! We're good, then. Back out, the electric field is off, let's pick up that lovely crystal ball. It seems to fit just right on the stand under the swan's pedestal. Let there be light!

Back out - hey, our swan just laid an egg. Is that a key inside? I hate to do this, but... here, hammer, hammer!

Yep, that's a key. Such a pity about that pretty crystal egg, but at least the swan is safe, and I guess she wasn't going to raise a key anyway. And out we go... :)
