After the conference, they hop into their Subaru Outback and head for a nearby national park. At the visitor center, Butch, a park reneger, tells the team about local legend. In 1864, a prospector, Rutherford Raleigh, had supposedly discovered a legendary gold vein, "El filon gordo." But soon after, he disappeared along with his gold. Now students and teachers are heading to goldmine.
