Im already stuck! Does anybody know the nswer to the part where you have to find the name of the chemical or something, and it's something to do with the map also. If anyone can help, please do!

Has anyone got past the date combination yet?
I am pretty sure I have the date now 26 Oct 62 but I just can't proceed. The screen keeps flashing when I am looking at the girl standing on the pressure pad. Has anyone else solved this. Have I got the right date? Going slowly insane with this one!

The only thing I'm stuck on is the last gauge Strachey. I'm typing in every word I can storm, hurricane, shipwreck, shipwrecked, rescued etc. But I can't seem to find it. That's all I need to know, very much appreciated!

els: The connection between Cuba and nuclear weapons would be the 'Cuban missile crisis'.
tetsujin86: I think it's the 'trinity test' that they have in common. Can't remember exactly though. Type that in and see if it works.
sweeny789: The third gauge refers to the 'Titanic'. You need to find how far it sank. I think it was 4000m.
I am having the same problem as Emma. I am trying to solve the gauges puzzle in part 2. I think I know the answers and have set the gauges to the settings I think they should be on b ut every time I am on the main page it just keeps flashing and is not responsive at all. I have e-mailed MSN but they have not replied. So much for customer service! This is so frustrating as I am enjoying the game so far and thought part 1 was really good. anyone out ther got any suggestions about how to get round this or do I just have to give it up??

Walkthrough:
Collect the paper on the left side of the door. Then look at the orange screen in the right side of the room.
Press the "Surface Temperature". The answer is "sun".
She will ask what the connection between Project Daedalus, feather, and the son is. The answer is "Icarus". Daedalus' son.
Now, look at the piece of paper you collected earlier. She will ask you a question, and the answer is "Haldane", the author of a book names Daedalus.
Type these two in, and you are able to enter the 2nd room.
In the second room you are confronted with another screen. Press the "Team Member Location Update". A map will show, and the shape on the map, is a nucleotide. (Like the ones in the orange screen). She will ask you a question, and the answer is "Adenine".
Now go to the piece of paper again. She will ask you a question, and this time the answer is the capitals inside the quote. "ACAAT".

just type in the words of the music and it will take you to the name of a shakespear play. thats the answer to the music question
Please help! I am stuck on the bit where she asks about the $39,976,780 & I've searched & only found it was the gross the film manhattan made! I've tried typing Manhattan, Manhattan project & loads of other things but with no luck. :o( Thanks x

>Pick up the piece of paper on the floor to the bottom left
>On the screen the temperature is the 'Sun' and the link is 'Icarus'
>Click on the piece of paper and the linking name is 'Haldane'
>The name is 'Adenine' (for me it only works with capital letters at the beginning of the word when answering the people)
>The sequence is 'ACAAT' (starting letter of the words in the sentence)
>Pick up the piece of paper on the floor
>Pick a person to stand on the pressure plate
>Zoom in on the part with all the stuff and look at the paper you just picked up
>It's Chez 'Laurence' and the expensive thing is 'Manhatten'
>The link is the 'Manhatten Project' and then you need to go to the cigar stub
>She (whoever you picked) asks for a link between the cigar brand and the Manhatten stuff, the answer is 'Trinity test'

>Go to the beer bottles and the answer is 'Atlas'
>Go to the clipboards and the next answer is '26 October 1962'
>Go to the wheels and put in '26 October 62' then zoom out a bit and click the handle to get in
>Get the other person on the next plate after getting the piece of paper under the gauges (it serves no purpose other than being nea)
>Click on the music sheet and zoom in on it, the lyrics are from 'Shakespeare' and the play is 'The Tempest'
>Zoom in on the gauges and you have to go from left to right
>Morehouse is connected to the celeste which leads to the answer 'Mary Celeste' then you set the gauge to 0
>Edgarton recoverd a shawm from the ship 'Mary Rose', which is the first answer, and it sank to 12 meters, which is what you set that gauge to
